An ok site if you don't mind basic.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Good sized pitches and excellent views. If you don't mind basic and rustic facilities then it's fine. The showers were good and the owners were lovely.
Disliked The grass hadn't been cut in ages so walking through it was difficult. The field we camped in was sloped in parts. As the facilities are very basic and not very plush I think the price is quite expensive.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked As a solo female with no camping experience I was nervous about my first camping trip, but quickly felt very safe and welcome at this site.
The owners are lovely people who were very friendly and approachable, and there were often seen around the site. They also checked in to make sure I was ok during the 3 nights I was there.
The site was easy to find, clean and tidy, very peaceful and had lovely views.
5 minutes drive to shops and paddleboarding at Cromford. Also lots of pretty walks nearby which I will explore next time.
