  • Whipsnade Zoo and Bletchley Park within a 15-minute drive
  • On the banks of Grand Union Canal a short walk from the local pub
Fancy settling your caravan in a strategic location that will give you easy access to all sorts of attractions and activities? Take a pitch at Grove Lock Caravan Park, a spacious and well-maintained Bedfordshire site two miles outside of Leighton Buzzard. There’s a lengthy list of things to see and do in this area, so it’s certainly a place where you could easily spend several days without any danger of running out of entertainment. For starters, you might like to try Whipsnade Zoo, Bletchley Park, Woburn Safari Park and Milton Keynes’ Snozone skiing facility – or perhaps head out for walks in the likes of Rushmere Country Park or on the Dunstable Downs? And of course there’s also the option of boarding a train for a day touring the sights of London (an hour away by train). The immediate surroundings are rather lovely here too – the site is right on the banks of the Grand Union Canal for easy waterside wanders, and a very short stroll from the local pub too (how handy). Everything on site has been well thought out to provide the best experience for guests – pitches are large and well spaced, with access to electricity and water plus a well-kept toilet and shower block. Kids and dogs are welcome on site, so feel free to bring along the whole family.

Liked Lots of space between pitches
Good views
Mostly well kept

Disliked There is a bit of noise from the road and railway
The pitches are some way from the facilities and the back of the field by the hedges could have done with some litter clearing

Liked Large open field, well spaced and large pitches with EHU and water tap.
Good, clean shower/toilet facilities - 5 or 6 spacious individual unisex cubicles.
Pub right next door, and close to town (Leighton Buzzard) and easily accessible from M1

Disliked Quite a long way from the motorhome field to facilities, especially the only washing up area and waste disposal at the marina office block.
Very frequent trains passing quite close by, so not the most peaceful, although didn't really notice at night.
Reception closes at 5:00pm, so no assistance on site and not able to obtain a key for the short cut to the pub after this time.

Liked The site was spacious with good pitch sizes and space for children to play.
The location was brilliant with lovely walks along the canal.
The site is good value for money as it doesn't add cost for every little extra. Despite access challenges I would definitely visit again.

Disliked Arrived at 5.10pm and staff had gone home. Contact number and the intercom on the locked gate merely stated they were closed. So if you were thinking of working Monday to Friday and coming for the weekend, make sure you phone ahead for code and pitch details. Others had received text message with this info but pitch numbers not accurate and no-one knew where they were supposed to be. One person left as they were so fed up with the chaos. I was lucky someone let me in. Reception staff were unapologetic in the morning and I'm not sure they had any idea who was / wasn't on site. After 5pm there were large groups of people joined their friends for a party and whilst they were no problem at all, I do wonder what you could do if there were issues.
The showers were good but needed a decent clean to get rid of cobwebs.
Says there is WiFi but there wasn't.

Liked The pub next door and being on the canal .

Disliked The nearby roads were louder than I would have liked, but the railway was terrible with the sound from the goods trains at night.
Broken driveway lighting with bare wires exposed.
Tired site.

Liked Loved this site which is really well laid out and we were so lucky to be in a corner plot which is a short walk to reception. Easy access to the pub along the canal with a key to get through the gate for a shortcut . Definitely stay again .

Disliked Squeaky gate and some traffic noise during the day but much quieter at night . Nothing untoward and didn’t affect our stay one bit.
