Liked This is an absolutely beautiful little site. Firstly the family that run the farm and the site are so very friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations for place to visit and directions to get there. They were so lovely.
The campsite is on a working farm and it was fascinating to watch the sheep being sheered. The site is quite small which adds to its charm and peacefulness.
We will definitely visit again.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked We really enjoyed our stay here but more due to an excellent pub and restaurant being a short walk from the campsite. There is also a supermarket just next door which is incredibly well stocked. The campsite itself is quite basic but very well cared for and we watched a beautiful sunset over the nearby fields. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the place was very clean. As disclosed there are no showers / toilets on site though we did have electric hook up.
Disliked Quite pricey for a site with no facilities.

Liked Loved the fact that this was on a farm. Had the opportunity to see them shear the sheets wool, which was fascinating. It's in a nice rural location. The farmer / owner was very friendly and helpful. It was possible to use their fire pits on condition of buying their logs - I fully understand the reason for this. Good value for money.
Disliked Not so much a dislike but you have to take this campsite for what it is - a small field with minimal facilities. Fully declared on the website, this is a pop up campsite with no showers or electricity. There is a basic toilet in a shed / lean to which was more DIY rather than commercial standard. Similarly there was an open kitchen area.

Liked Pen Y Bont is a really nice campsite. The lady at reception who booked us in was super friendly and helpful. There was a small shop on-site for the essentials and the toilet and shower block were modern and very clean. The grounds of the campsite are immaculate and very well cared for. The pitches are a decent size, with electric hook up, but in the centre of the campsite, you certainly get to know your neighbour.
Disliked The only negative for this site is the cost of £52 per night which we felt was expensive. We justified paying this much as it was for two nights but I wouldn't stay any longer at this price. We have stayed on other equally beautiful sites which have far more facilities ( Bar / Restaurant / Swimming Pool / Entertainment) for far less than this.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, very much appreciated. Unfortunatley we have no room for extra facilities but we are lucky to be within walking distance to the town and the beautiful lake. Hopefully we will see you again in the future. Team PYB

Liked Value for money.
Nice view over the fields and lovely sunrise.
Plenty of open space.
Disliked Difficult to find, with no sign posts to indicate there is camping or even the name of the farm. Had to call for directions/ clarification.
Farmyard looks a bit like a scrapyard.
Didn’t use the portaloos, didn’t look great.

Liked The site is beautifully maintained and very clean, as are the toilet and shower blocks.
Seriously hot water available for washing your pots and pans.
Surrounded by lovely scenery yet only a short drive to Montgomery and Welshpool.
The adjacent golf club was a fabulous place to enjoy a drink, snack and watch the world go by.
Argae Hall campsite was very quiet and peaceful and you get a sense that the owners and the regular visitors take great care of the site.
Disliked The only potential negative is that the site feels quite claustrophobic with so many static caravans bunched together and the touring pitches so close together. You really are close to your neighbours to the point you can smell their food, hear their conversations/ noises.

Liked Lovely farm campsite. Scenery of the surrounding hills and fishing was beautiful.
Staff were delightful and couldn’t be more helpful.
There is a cafe on site and great facilities, showers, toilets, grey water waste etc.
Pitch was hard standing with electric and was spacious. The whole site was clean and well maintained.
We had a very peaceful stay there. Lovely.
Disliked Only minor irritation was the noise from the nearby M6 motorway. It’s not loud but it’s there in the background. Wouldn’t stop me from staying again as we really enjoyed it there.

Liked Very simple set up. Just arrive at the farm and choose one of the pitches. I think there are about 9 pitches, all with electric hookup.
There is no check in, reception or anyone to speak to. Just very simple and functional. The views across the countryside are beautiful.
