Liked Absolutely everything. If you’re looking for a stripped back, non holiday park style camping with a chilled vibe with dark enough skies to stargaze with the naked eye, then this is the perfect campsite for you. The best experience was showering under the stars, I even saw a shooting star whilst washing my hair (the best showers Iv ever experienced during many of my camping expeditions) they were clean and hot and even broke my son’s camping shower phobia. We have booked to come back in a few weeks and cannot wait to come back. The host Jeremy was super friendly and always busy working to maintain the campsite to a high standard suitable to his campers. I would recommend this campsite to anyone who isn’t fussy about basic things that meets the general needs of the public such as washing up facilities, water stations, a couple of showers and port-a-loos in both fields (which might I add were all clean during the 6 days we stayed and fully equipped with loo rolls and handwash). Fantastic campsite and already feeling the post holiday blues. My kids loved it, my partner (who is new to our camping life- thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait to come back). Disliked LEAVING! Oh and people’s idiotic negative reviews on here about no bonfires and bbq being allowed during englands heatwave. When camping here you can see why the rule is enforced due to the dryness of the ground so well done to Jeremy for the safety of his campers and the land.

Liked Where do I begin a returned camper back to this beautiful place owned by one guy (stumpy) who seems to be an octopus in disguise if he’s not checking in customers as they arrive, he’s cleaning and making sure his camp is tidy or walking around and personally checking in on every single camper with friendly conversation and banter. I cannot fault this campsite at all and it really is our favourite campsite. What people need to understand before they criticise the site is that this is environmentally friendly and that this campsite is owned by one man and if you ask questions about the campsite he will tell you that he created this beautiful site himself and how he did it and with ongoing updates and plans I only look forward to seeing what next year brings. My two children absolutely adore stumpy and upon leaving it’s a must that we find him and personally say goodbye you are not going to find a friendly campsite such as this!

Disliked Leaving as always and petty people leaving negative reviews about someone’s hard work and creativity my advice to them people go see if you can do better because I assure you that you can’t!

Liked What can I say stumpy and Maria what an absolute pleasure to have met you both we can’t thank you enough for your warm hospitality. What was supposed to be a 4nt stay ended up being 9nts with stumpy making jokes with other campers that I had been camping there forever and they couldn’t get me gone haha Stumpy and Maria are full of wit, banter, fun, jokes, smiles, happiness, kindness and warmth they Weren’t just owners of a campsite they became friends to each and every camper on site which is a credit to the camping world. Your daughter is a credit to you with her politeness and her bracelets were a fab hit with campers and have made great little souvenirs. The site was spectacularly beautiful and the owners worked non stop to keep the premises clean and tidy they were both like mini octopus on the daily doing many tasks from cooking delicious food (really recommend the pizza and breakfast baps) checking in new campers , cleaning the site to even daily walk rounds to make sure each and every camper was happy and ok etc non stop working from 6am till gone 11pm without catching a break to breath. A beautiful site where old friends laughed, new friendships were made, happy memories created and pen pals swapping numbers and addresses. I already can’t wait to bring me and the kids back next year! There is literally nothing negative I can say about anything during my stay at camping at the manor. Stumpy was a comedian to children with him even joking with my son when he asked for a beer and gave him a bottle (for those with no sense of humour I would like to clarify he didn’t actually give him the bottle to keep it was just for a photo pose which my family have found funny when I showed them) Maria was just gracious and caring with the children and took the time to listen to their camping adventures it was just an all round warm and inviting site that I really recommend to anyone. My kids and I are really suffering from post camping blues now haha WE LOVE CAMPING AT THE MANOR xx

Liked What an outstandingly friendly man that owns this farm site. For a guy who’s just opened this campsite in May this year his kind and friendly mannerism is more than I have ever seen on many campsites that have been opened for years. He really does go out his way to make your stay pleasant so thank you Colin aka Lamborghini (as my kids called you). The pitches were all clean tidy and very spacious and well spaced apart. Yes people may complain in previous posts about the toilets and they are not to hotel standards but people seem to forget that 1) they are camping and not staying in a 5* hotel it’s not meant to be glam (plus some campers on site were nicking the loo roll so the lack of loo roll was not his fault as he was always topping up when emptied) 2) some campsites in the UK don’t even have toilets and require you to bring your own and for a guy who literally handles this site from cleaning it, checking people in to Even checking campers and if they are well every single day throughout the day to running it Single handily, people just need to be kind and remind themselves of this. I have never been to a campsite before where the manager has gone round each pitch everyday throughout the day to ask if they are ok and Have a chat and actually get to know their customers like Colin did his site (he even opened his cafe for a min to get my 2 children a drink whilst me and partner was packing the tent away (we stupidly packed their drinks away) oh and not forgetting that he gave evvverrryyyyy child on the campsite a peacock feather that his peacock shed). The stream next to the campsite was a beautiful walk and the children even got to paddle in the shallows with their fishing nets and the location was perfect with shops nearby pubs etc and great access to the M3 for our day out to the New Forest. Thank you for a great stay Colin and for memories that won’t be forgotten.

Liked Absolutely everything there really wasn’t anything we didnt dislike. My children cried when we were leaving so we booked an extra couple of nights to please them (not that we adults complained haha) there was so much to do around the surrounding area that we will be back next year to do those things we wanted to do but just didn’t have time to do. Thank you so so much for an amazing memory making holiday and we look forward to seeing you next year.
