  • Dog-friendly pop-up site in a spacious four-acre field
  • A 10-minute drive from beaches and 15 minutes from Milford on Sea
  • Within 10 minutes' walk of a microbrewery, spa and restaurant
Whether you’re paddleboarding on local beaches, pursuing outdoor activities in the New Forest or mooching around the nearby towns, there’s a great balance between civilisation and peaceful countryside at In Nature Camping. Under a mile from the edge of the New Forest National Park and 10 minutes’ drive away from beaches, there’s lots on the agenda here: days at the beach, visits to nearby historic towns and properties, shopping or even chilling with a spa treatment at the venue a short walk away. Also within 10 minutes' walk of the site is a restaurant and a microbrewery serving drinks like small-cask beer, handcrafted ales and ‘unfined’ beer. A five-minute drive away, there’s a café with pick-your-own farm produce activities – how lovely. The closest beaches for strolls, snoozes, swimming and the like are Avon beach (10 minutes), Highcliffe beach (10 minutes) Barton-on-sea beach (10 minutes). As for interesting local towns with shops and cafés, make your way to Highcliffe (five minutes), Christchurch (10 minutes), New Milton (five minutes) and Milford on Sea (15 minutes). The main road from Lyndhurst to the coast runs just a short distance from the field, making it nice and easy to access local attractions. What about the place you’ll be calling home for your Hampshire holiday? Off-grid, it’s very much a wildlife haven. Try your hand at self-sufficiency (barbecues and firepits are allowed, weather conditions permitting) or grab your meals locally. There are four hot showers, six toilets and two washing-up sinks for those of you who decide to dust off the old camp stove and try cooking under the stars.

What customers say

This top campsite scores points for its ripper hosts, roomy sites, and chilled vibe. Close to Highcliffe beach and the New Forest, with good showers. Fire pits and ready-to-go tents are a bonus. Toilets are basic, but it's great value and a relaxing escape.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site

Liked Great location - loved the simplicity and spaciousness of the site with no set pitches. Portaloos were well maintained and there is a bar/coffee stall which seemed popular. Jeremy was also very helpful

Ready tent

Liked Ready tents were a great convenience given it was our first camping trip with the twins, highly recommend.
Lovely owner, great communication, easy to book.
Perfectly clean showers, loved the nature view one. Cute little bar which was unexpected.
Lots of room for the little ones to run around, no noise ( apart from perhaps us 😆)

Cedar bell tent

Liked Tent was nice and airy, double bed comfortable and warm. Warm showers.
Toilets were clean (for potaloos) and quickly refilled with loo roll when used up.

Disliked No electric, one of the camp beds had no mattress just a very thin topper. Only 2 sachets of coffee and cups weren’t very clean, not what you would expect for “glamping”

Juniper bell tent

Liked Lovely, quiet and secluded. The tent was kitted out with everything you would need. Great location to access a number of the local beaches.

Disliked The camp beds weren't overly comfy. An airbed would have been more comfortable.

Local attractions

Work your way steadily away from the site, starting with the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum and the Romantic-style Highcliffe Castle (both five minutes’ drive), where there is also access to a beach and nature reserve. For more cool habitats and wildlife spotting, Hengistbury Head (20 minutes) should also be on your radar. Milford on Sea (15 minutes) is also just over the way. There, you’ll certainly get your watersports fix. There are ferries to Hurst Castle, an artillery fort at sea with links to the formidable Henry VIII. Further along the coast is the sailing hub of Lymington (20 minutes). To the north, your New Forest adventures might include the Go Ape course and cycling trails in the Moors Valley Country Park & Forest (half an hour). To the south, perhaps a big day out in Bournemouth (25 minutes), where surfing, kayaking and cycles on the prom might keep you occupied?
