Liked The water in loos/showers was hot. The peacocks

Disliked Yurt hadn't been swept. The windows/door didn't have adequate straps to have them open. The kettle hadn't been emptied from last occupants. The toilet block was full of cobwebs, the hand dryer didn't work or the paper towel dispenser and one of the toilet flushers was loose and had to be pumped to flush. No lighting around loo and shower doors so had to take phone torch at night. Codes for loo/showers too long especially as they're different. Taps on basin in shower bodged and barely hang over basin so you can't get a flannel/toothbrush under. The log burner in the yurt had been broken by previous occupants so we were given a small oil radiator which didn't keep the chill off during the night. Only 2 plug sockets. Noise from animal park

Liked The size of the pitches are very spacious. Quiet location and as there isn't space on site for children to play the site was relatively quiet too. Facilities clean and fitted out well and having the radio playing in loo block was a nice touch. Janet and John were friendly and informative. Don't know if this next point was anything to do with the owners or the slate mine fairies but I kept noticing buts of slate with positive words on which made me smile =D

Disliked Hairdryer in ladies cut out after about 30 seconds, I mentioned this to Janet who said it was a H&S thing, it wasn't a massive issue as I had one in motorhome but no plug socket near a mirror so it was just a bit more convenient using the one in facilities. This isn't a fault of the site but thought I'd mention it so others are aware.
