Fully-serviced grass and gravel site (super)
Liked Pitch sizes, spacious, nice shop with plenty of variety. Good size dog walking field
Disliked Red sand in play park gets everywhere and isn’t pleasant.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked There is a park for the kids, shop, games room and cafe. It is situated right on the beach which would be great in nice weather.
The owner so VERY helpful. Offered for us to use their tumble dryer, towed us onto our pitch that was waterlogged due to bad weather and refunded us most of our money when we decided to leave early due to weather and things out of his control.
Disliked This site is located down a long single track road away from shops. When we attended it was very cold, wet and windy and had to get pulled onto our pitch and would struggle to get off to go back into town so decided to leave 5 days early however the owner was great and gave us a refund which was above and beyond. Unfortunately time of year that the weather turned. Not something they could control however is very tucked away. Also while we were there the tumble dryer was broken but was informed the owner could try and help with any urgent baby clothes if I needed to.
As the location is so tucked away there is little to no internet or phone signal

From the manager: Yes phone signal is limited to shoreline and most of camping field for O2 and Vodafone only. Free WiFi has been improved at end of season and should cover all areas. However, don't count on a fast service in peak season.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site (maximum 8 metres)
Liked The park is a great size and fantastic for the kids. The shop is ideal for those smaller items you might need.
The Ullswater Steamers are within walking distance of the park which is a great trip out and one the kids really enjoyed.
Disliked The "Mansion" is simply a bar with pool table and no atmosphere. Its a great space which could be fantastic for entertaining in the evening. This was the biggest let down for us.

From the manager: Dear Theresa thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are sorry that the Mansion was such a disappointment to you and your family I would agree that this is a great space and after taking over Waterfoot in January we are in the process of rejuvenating the house by opening up the garden area, introducing local real ales and providing live 'Music in the Mansion' evenings, unfortunately your 2 night stay on a Sunday and Monday happen to be our quietest evenings but we are in the future looking into organising quiz evenings during the school holidays and also we hope to provide some outdoor family orientated games such as chess, table tennis and boules. We do hope that you visit us again some time and because we advertise our entertainment evenings on the website why not try to book your next visit to coincide with this. once again thank you for your comments as they help us to improve the park Michelle and the Waterfoot team
