Liked The very friendly Norma and her husband Steve. The whole experience of the site and surrounding area. Fabulous extras provided by Norma and her excellent catering trailer. Facilities more than adequate, clean and well looked after. Quite, tranquil and very spacious with plenty of wide open spaces.

Liked One of the best sites we've ever stayed at. Pitch was fantastic, the views,awesome and staff second to none. The facilities were excellent, clean and modern. Extremely good bar and restaurant and a very good shop. One we will be returning to.

Liked To be honest not a great deal to like ...location close to shops and pubs etc. And fairly level.

Disliked Was basically gravel area with very little else. Have stopped in better car parks. One toilet which was damp and in need of repairs. No showers as expected but no washing facilities either. Electric was very limited at 4amps. No staff on site. Not secure as advertised.

From the manager: Dear Chez, We would like to clarify that our site is not a campsite it is an Aire de Services which if you have experience of travelling on the continent you will know is a 'parking area with basic services' such as EHU, fresh water, chemical toilet and waste water. An Aire does not provide any other services such as toilets, showers or wash up facilities. However we do provide toilets and the basic services and we price accordingly. We are very clear in the description on the Pitch Up website as to what we provide and what we do not. Again for your information we provide 6amp electric hook up which will generally run anything 12V, it will not run a hairdryer or domestic/house kettle. Because it is off season the area is very quite and there is no reason for 24/7 staff or security on site therefore staff come and go to the site during the day. The managers phone number is clearly visible at the entrance if a guest needs to make contact.

Liked It's beauty, uniqueness of back to nature, peaceful. One of the very best we have stayed. Like camping in the middle of Africa's savanna. Extremely friendly and welcoming couple. The pool is vertually an infinity pool. If a fan of nature and beauty this is a must site. Spread out well placed level piches. Has limited electricity as all solar powered but water is pure from a 300 meter bore hole.

Liked The set up and surrounding area as a whole was neat, tidy, well kept and open. Very green and rural with plenty of space for each pitch to enjoy. The facilities were well maintained, clean and safe with an excellent and unique control system in place - use of pebbles moved by foot to be either in or out. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and on hand at all times. Easy to find and in 5 minutes walk to the famous Devils Bridge

Disliked No general groceries close by or sold on site.
