Liked Warm welcome, relaxed and easy going. Lovely site with clean modern facilities. Plenty of space and lovely views down the valley. Nature to enjoy all around. Babbacombe town only 40 mins walk ( some of it up hill) where you can enjoy nice pubs, beach and cliff train.
It is a sloped site but if you take ramps you shouldn't have any issues leveling out.
The owners were so helpful offering suggestions where to pitch up and what's around the area. They were also super helpful when we had a flat battery and got us started and back on the road.

Liked Beautiful location with far reaching views. Quiet, abundence of nature, gorgeous lakes, warm showers, good facilities. Added advantage of beeing able to swim in lake, walk through the extensive woodlands and see all of the farm animals. There is a shop that sells basics and a simple cafe.
Disliked Hill a bit steep to access campsite so we did wheelspin a bit, however this didn't put us off just thought it's good to make people aware.
Shop and cafe where a bit low of stock we were hoping to buy steaks for bbq and have a lunch in cafe but unable on this visit.

Liked This campsite is set in Mid Devon perfect for exploring surrounding areas or just relaxing on site. Nestled in woodland with country walks all around. There are 2 lakes within the woods offering fishing or just space to sit relax and take in nature.
The site is well maintained with a rage of pitches for all types of travellers. They have yurts in the woods, static caravans on the hill. Woodland pitches under the forest canopy. Hard standing areas with electric, grass pitches with electric and a meadow for the more wild camper.
Shop providing things you need is open daily.
Toilets showers and washing up areas are modern and clean with fridge freezer, baby changing, baby bath, shower seats and more. They have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
If you love walking, birds, peace and quiet then this is the place for you.
We absolutely loved it here and will be returning soon with friends and family

Liked Clean, spacious and picturesque site with excellent composting toilets, solar showers, recycling area and surrounded by countryside. The owner was superb, friendly, welcoming and proactive. Offering families with children rides on his tractor trailer, free eggs for campers and wheelbarrows full of wood for only £10
Disliked Extra £10 per vehicle for booking. Either include it in price or get rid of extra charge as it doesn't make sense. E. G. If you book a campervan pitch it's £20 per night for 2 people plus £10 per stay per vehicle, whether it 1 night or 5 nights.

Liked There is a lot to say about this fantastic camp site 😍
We had booked a Riverside pitch, which were were able to choose on arrival. The pitch sizes were large, level and we had access to the river Taw.
From the pitch you could relax and watch the abundance of wildlife. This was right up my street being a nature lover.
We saw Kingfishers, egrets, moorhen chicks, yellow wagtails, buzzards, bats, squirrels, fish, butterflies, bumble bees and much more.
The site is located by the river Taw and surrounded by picturesque hillsides and forrest.
At night there is no light pollution at night giving you a spectacular show of stars, satellites and the milky way.
The owners are very much into the conservation of the wildlife and rare breed cattle, which were grazing in the field in the centre of the campsite.
It was lovely to see the different cows and calves. Especially the little orphan calf being hand fed. 😊
There were plenty of benches along the riverbank for the use of campers who like to picnic, a rope swing for children to play on, archery and axe throwing lessons available at the weekend.
The river was shallow enough for all ages to enjoy, whether it be paddling, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or just relaxing on the pebble banks.
There is a large meadow away from the river for campers, offering lots of space for all sizes of set ups. By the meadow the owners are digging a large lake which will be a wonderful addition to the farm.
The very well maintained compost toilets, washing up area, water and showers are located in the middle of the campsite, accessible by a level track. They are a little walk, however; we did not find this an issue as we have a toilet tent for convenience and a trolley to carry the water.
There are a few luxury pods available at the other side of the farm which are perfect for families with young children.
The owners were amazing, Marcus and John couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. We were shown where everything was on arrival. They were available via text if you needed anything eg, fire pits and wood delivered to your door.
There is a hairpin bend to navigate into the site, but as long as you take it easy or if in a Lwb vehicle use the extra space on the bend to drive into and reverse down you will be fine. If in any doubt just call the owners and they will help you.
This site has become my absolute favorite, we will definitely revisit and recommend to all our friends and family. 😍

Liked We have just returned from our first visit to Rhea Farm and fishery. There was a party of 9 including adults and children. The whole experience was fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The welcome was friendly and informative. The site was absolutely beautiful with plenty of space for everyone to have a good pitch. There were all different areas ranging from lakeside to views to near the farm animals. The site is surrounded by trees offering shelter and privacy. The animals are all well looked after and the owners are very informative also including a lovely feed time for the kids. The lake was picturesque and stocks plenty of fish. There are compost toilets, regular toilets and showers plus a small shop. The whole site is off grid and the owners have worked hard on it over the years. They also provide some entertainment on Saturday night at the party bus, where they also occasionally have a burger/breakfast van available. The party bus has pool table, table football and darts. The animals include a giant tortoise, sheep, chickens, goats, geese, emus and an ostrich.
Located close to the jurassic Coast this site is perfect for visiting Devon and Dorset. We would highly recommend and visit again.
