Liked Edwina and team keep a lovely site with gleaming loos & showers, a range of flat pitches and the biggest, lushest dog-walking field ever.

Liked Immaculately clean and well-maintained facilities. Very quiet (we had a whole field to ourselves for a couple of days). Great views and a lovely walk to Hay on Wye. Proprietor very friendly and chatty.
Disliked Adjacent main road fairly busy.

Liked Very warm welcome by our host who was friendly and looked after us well throughout. Takeaway meals were piping hot and extremely tasty. Loved our corner pitch surrounded by a well-groomed hedge which offered some privacy and allowed us to enjoy the local birdlife, including a very noisy wren which tweeted away merrily!
Disliked Not sure a site with limited views dominated by power lines and wind turbines can offer "glamping". Site also lacks a drive-over grey water drain and the location of the drinking water source was a tad challenging without a long hose and within one of the pitches boundaries.

From the manager: Many Thanks for taking the time to review us, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. as regards to your comments regarding us offering Glamping Bell Tents, we have never had any negative feedback regarding our open field views or the turbines and power line, in fact we don't really get any negative feedback from Glampers at all. there is one row of power lines that run through a close by field, but are not intrusive and most people seem interested by the wind farm in the distance. We have got a drive over motorhome waste point and allocated water point planned before next season, but do not currently advertise that we do have one on Pitchup or any other advertsing site. We hope to see you again Kind Regards Mark, Claire & The Ring Team

Liked Quiet, even though close to the A31.
Mature hedges separating flat, well mown fields and pitches.
The whole site looked well established and had a good feel about it.
Playing field/dog walking area was similarly well maintained.
Cleanliness of toilets and showers.
Disliked Traffic calming measures! The sleeping policemen were unnecessarily ferocious and the gateway into our field was extremely tight for a 7m motorhome.
Showers were a little too basic. Needed a slatted stool or bench to put clothing/toilet bag on. Hooks/wood-screws in lintel for towels and clothes looked like an afterthought.
No recycling bins.

Liked Very friendly welcome
Very few clients!
Hot, powerful showers.
Disliked This place is currently a building site, with plant trundling about during the day. Managed by one man who did not maintain an effective cleaning regime. Toilets and showers not cleaned effectively during our 3 day stay. Not told about building on booking and no discount to reflect it.

Liked Compact, quiet, bucolic atmosphere. Facilities neatly bunched together including vehicle washing facilities, although with a 180-mile drive home it would have been time and water wasted!
Dog walking provision was excellent, through trees and with rabbits to chase!
Disliked Strange unwelcoming attitude when told we would be arriving an hour later than 1900 on the Friday evening of one of the busiest travelling days of the year (early May BH). "You're not arriving until 8 o'clock!....I've got to go home sometime you know!" It turned out that the late arrival was no problem for anyone but we felt under pressure.
The layout of the bathrooms was poor. Shower cubicles were an adequate size but placed in the entry/exit corridor, so room to change was severely limited and impeded by other users. Meanwhile at the other end of the room there were acres of wasted space in front of the toilet cubicles. Not as clean as we would have expected at the start of the season too.
