From the manager: Honestly, there are a couple of ratings that are, to say the least, odd. "Geographical position" 3.5/5: 10 minutes from the airport, tram to downtown (5 minutes) literally behind us (20 meters), 10minutes by bike from downtown, 30 minutes from Citta alta by walking. "Cleanness": We honestly do not know where you've been to give 3/5. The day managers will be allowed to attach pictures to review replies, it will be a blessed day. The state in which we find our toilets EVERY morning is aberrant at the least. We literally find fluids and other corporeal bodies EVERYWHERE, every day. The fight we must put up to make people respect the recycling of garbage is tiring. Just yesterday evening, we had to return a 50cm tall garbage bag abandoned on the ground to the owner, who was found thanks to our cameras. He didn't even say a "sorry". Still, yesterday, we found the knob of one of our showers snapped in two on the ground. IT WAS A METAL ONE, HOW? "Ideal for kids" 2.5/5: Honestly, I do not know what you'd expect from a PARKING LOT. Our facility IS NOT A CAMPING. Nonetheless, 50 meters from our entrance, there's a kids' park with slides, swings, and even climbing routes. To the reader, the conclusions.

Liked Fantastic, friendly rural site with cafe / bar / restaurant, with clean facilities and on a really pretty lake. A few pet animals were wandering around (goats, donkeys) until the evening when they collected them into an open pen. The sunset was amazing! As it was Bastille day they set off an absolutely spectacular firework display over the lake when it was dark. There was also live music (a bit rowdy at times, but early enough not to be a problem). A great atmosphere! We would have liked to have stayed longer.
Disliked Nothing to dislike as this was a wonderful experience!

Liked Friendly site in a pretty area. Lovely views. Great restaurant. Nice, clean facilities.
Disliked No reflection on the site itself, but the roads to and from it are not easy in a large van due to the mountainous area.
The parking area was not picturesque, as it was basically just a car park of vans lined up.

Liked Booked here for 1 night but stayed for 3! Pleasant, small, simple site with basic amenities. Adequate toilet and shower facilities. Nice seating area with stone barbeques and long tables and benches. Small, basic cool off pool (no toilet or changing facilities there). Nice area alongside pool with simple seats and tables. Nice seating areas, in or out of shade around simple cafe.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and very friendly, helpful couple running the site.
Convenient bus service into Cogoletto town (which we really liked - small, non-touristy, but pretty and a lovely pebbly sea-front). Buses only every 90 mins or so, but cheap (need to buy tickets via App in advance).
Disliked It was not a problem for us as it was small enough to get around, but the site is on a hill so walking around is on a bit an incline. Wifi only available immediately next to Reception.
Steep climb up drive from main road if you use the local bus (again manageable for us despite joint issues as its not too far). NOTE that taxi's in Cogoletto are very sparse, and non available into the evening when we were there!
Neighbouring site has loud music on some nights till midnight.
Although the toilet / shower area was checked and cleaned throughout the day, more care was needed as scum and muck was building up at times in the grid outside the shower cubicles.

Liked Spacious flat pitches, clean suitable facilities. Pleasant staff. Generally a nice simple site. Pleasant looking cafe, though we didnt use it. Nice to be able to order a baguette and croissants for breakfast.

Liked Simple, basic site. Not the freshest, but adequate. Suited our need for a quick overnight stop before getting the ferry home.
Disliked Only 2 toilets, one of which had one of the 3 showers in with it. It felt a bit like an intrusion on our part as it appears to be predominantly French families in chalets.

Liked The most idyllic and peaceful site, with two simple compost toilets and two simple fresh spring water showers! What's not to love! The compost toilets were very well kept and surprisingly acceptable.
Disliked My husband was fine with the cold shower, but I must admit i didnt venture in, but may have if we'd stayed longer than two nights, or it had been warmer! Clearly not for everyone.

Liked This is a beautiful, simple site in spectacular countryside. The facilities were basic, but clean and ideal for us, and there was always hot water. The animal field was lovely, even without having any children with us! The shop and cafe open each morning were really nice, with a lovely touch of a little honesty shop outside for a few provisions when the shop was closed. The owners were really helpful and friendly. We missed the August weekly Saturday evening pizza night, as we arrived on Sunday, but the tables were still laid out and there had been a craft sale that day too, which I'm sure would have been really enjoyable.

Liked Rugged and simple site.
Good rural location with nice countryside views.
Very pleasant service.
Disliked Toilets limited, and both they and showers are very basic. This was fine for us but wont suit everyone.
We were there in wet and windy weather - and the site is a bit exposed.
The view from one side of the site is a busy and brightly lit refinery!

Liked A quiet and clean site in a beautiful location with lovely views. Helpful staff. Friendly village, and larger neighbouring town of Le Grand Bornand with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Surprisingly well resourced for such a somewhat remote and pretty area. Great public outdoor pools at very reasonable prices.
Disliked Road access is very windy and narrow in places (which we didn't mind). It could be difficult with a larger motor home.
