Liked We liked this woodland site with easy access on foot to different walks; hilly ones and flat, mostly fairly shaded, ones to Barmouth and Dolgellau. The site staff are friendly and the showers are good. There is a covered area with benches where you can charge devices and read or play games. We enjoyed our visits from a Robin and her two babies as well as other birds.

Disliked We would have liked easier access to the freezer so we could change our ice blocks more often.

Liked Our pitch was in a pleasant field with views of beautiful trees. The staff were friendly and helpful; one person gave us blocks for our van and helped us set them up. Easy access to the coastal path with beautiful beaches. Clean wash areas and washing up facilities.

Liked The peacefulness and views of trees and water were a highlight for me. This is a delightful site within walking distance of the forest. The restaurant was also buzzing on a Saturday night.

Liked A lovely, quiet site with easy access to walking and cycling opportunities down the Cinder Path and local footpaths. Clean facilities. Loved to see the chickens wandering free. Good to have hard standing in case it’s too wet on the field.

Disliked The only thing stopping me coming for a winter break is the lack of electric.

Liked Small campsite with good sized pitches. Great showers. Friendly owners. Pretty with plenty of trees and bushes. Can walk from the site and a fairly short drive away from forests, Abbeys and war history. Restaurant does good pizzas. Swimming pool. Can walk to the canal

Liked Beautiful scenery, rural setting, variety of countryside walks straight from site, friendly owner. Level pitches on grass with a couple of gravel pitches available in yard. Just loved it and wished we’d booked a longer stay.

Disliked Fine for a few nights but would like a shower if we’d stayed longer

Liked Freedom to camp anywhere in a beautiful field with a swing, zip wire and trampoline for the children. Very friendly owner who checked we were all ok. Very relaxed atmosphere. Pay for a pitch rather than have a lot of added extras. Plenty of room for children to play ball games.

Disliked Can be difficult to unbolt the gate into the campsite.

Liked Easy access to cycle routes and short walk to the beach. Agde was worth a visit. Loved having the opportunity to cycle from the campsite to Marseillan by the river and canal.

Disliked Our pitch was right next to a fairly busy road.
