Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked What an amazing place this is. Close to home but feels a million miles away. So peaceful and absolutely beautiful. The most friendly owners we have ever come across in our years of travelling. Nothing is too much trouble. It was incredible to see the animals so closely especially the sheep they were my favourite. There are lots of fruit trees around and vegetables in the garden. The loo was surprisingly good and kept extremely clean. Would definitely use again
Disliked Nothing we loved it here

Liked We spent a weekend in our Camper at Cherry Tree Park. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the site was. It had everything the big commercial sites have ie toilets showers, large waste bins and even an information hut. The owners were very pleasant. We couldn’t ask for more. We will return here again next summer and maybe stay a little longer to explore more of the area

Liked Beautiful scenery lovely walks around the lakes facilities clean and tidy good for fishing plenty is spaces plenty of car parking
Disliked Motorhome pitches are made on an angle to reverse into which is all well and good if you are a British built van. The wanted us to reverse in and we are continental so our habitation door is on the opposite site and therefore our door would be opposite the door of the van next to us and if the dog is outside it would have caused a problem.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to review our site. We are pleased you thought the scenery was beautiful and the facilities clean. We have taken on board your comments about continental motorhomes and the current policy of reversing onto pitches. We appreciate all feedback, both good and bad, and where ever possible we will adapt our policies. After some discussion we have decided to allow continental motorhomes and caravans to park forwards.

Liked Nice walk to Castle Howard to visit the gardens you get 2 for 1 when staying on the site. The gardens are beautiful and well worth visiting. We did go in the house as this was closed to to filming for tv. The site itself is adequate toilet facilities were clean and there arr fresh water grey waste and elsan facilities. We spent 2 nights here and will definitely return again.
Disliked No campsite lighting and this makes completely pitch black after dark just a couple of lights would make a massive improvement.

Liked New to caravaning this was only our 4th trip out. The campsite was immaculate and extremely peaceful. Other campers on seasonal pitches were all very pleasant and gave us tips which are always useful when learning.
The owners were also lovely and very helpful.
Best thing for my husband was that the owner (Noel) puts the caravan on the pitch for you and takes it back off so takes a little stress away.
