From the manager: Hi Angela and thank you for your honest review. However we do feel that you have scored us unfairly re 2/10 for location. We are actually in a fantastic location here in Cheshire. We have endless attractions a short drive away, The Ice Cream Farm Theme Park is within walking distance for the children, and the quaint village of Tattenhall is a short walk away with pubs wine bars and shops. We are on a main bus route to Chester / Whitchurch, and the bus actually stops at the farm gates to take you there. Or the park and ride for Chester which is 10 mins away in the car. Beeston Castle and Peckforton Castle can be seen from the camping field, and we also have Cholmondeley Castle and Bolesworth Castle just 2/3 miles away with regular events during the year. We are walking distance from the famous Sandstone Trail too, which winds past some of these castles. 2/10 for cleanliness we feel is also unfair, as we do pride ourselves in this. We are building a new toilet and shower block at the moment which as we have said, will be available in July this year, with portaloos to bridge the gap. Most campers are happy with this - Please read other reviews which we feel are a truer reflection on our campsite. 2/10 for our wifi - this works in our cafe, and farm shop. However I don't think wifi works in any field that distance away when camping, on any campsite. I have looked into this but it is not something we feel we can priorities at the moment as most campers dont put it high on their list. We are a new site, only having advertised on pitchup.com for one month currently. We are working hard to deliver an enjoyable happy camping experience to all our guests, at an affordable price for everyone. We welcome feedback and take the time to ask campers for criticism and ideas, alot of which we are acting upon at the moment. Perhaps you would like to return in the future and spend a little more time than one night, to explore the area, and give us a second look ?!!
