Crickhowell, Powys, Wales
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Glanusk Estate is spectacular in the autumn months with beautiful grounds. The location is ideal with starry skies unobscured by artificial lights and it's really quiet and peaceful with the occasional call of a pheasant. Decent space between pitches. Didn't use the WiFi as EE 5G signal was great. Facilities are modern, warm, clean and well supplied. As others have said, the showers in both blocks are wet cubicles with open dry / changing areas. The team provide a really comprehensive guide prior to arrival which was super beneficial as the campsite is accessible from a country road and then a long lane through the estate but having the information beforehand gives you more confidence on arrival. Pleasant, flat walks into Crickhowell, accessible either along the river or canal. Alternatively access to town with a car is only 5mins away.
Disliked The pitches aren't really gravel and grass. The grass has overgrown the hard standing bit but it's a neglible criticism.
