Liked Rural setting but only 10 miles to York and everything that offers. 5 min drive or 45 min walk (albeit along a fairly busy road) to the town of Stamford Bridge. Food at the Two Cups was good, strawberry picking at the strawberry farm a good activity for kids. The site itself is basic but that is what is advertised. Lovely camping field with 2 toilets and 2 showers. Always had hot water. Small but adequate kitchen area. Lots of space and you can pick your own spot, very quiet during the week and much busier but still pleasant at the weekend. We throughly enjoyed our stay.
