Oakfield unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site (no pets)
Liked Great compost toilets and showers. Friendly helpful owners.
Disliked The field appears to be a grazing field for part of the year, so there is some animal dung about. But more problematic for us was that the field is very exposed, no shade, and the grass has thicker foliage that has been cut bag but caused kit tears for us and our friends. Very expensive problem.

From the manager: I’m sorry you did not have a good experience ,but we are advertised as a farm campsite . This particular field has not been used for grazing for 2 years . Any dung you may have seen is from the wild animals in the area . We often get dear , badgers , foxes and more . At the moment the grass and shrubbery is very hard as there hasn’t been any rain for eight weeks and unfortunately we cannot control the weather . Everyone gets to choose where they pitch . This is a large field with plenty of space away from sharp shrubs at the edge of the field It’s advisable to get a foot print for under your tent to prevent further problems for your adventure .
