A real gem! Love this place and would absolutely recommend!

Aug 2026

Liked We absolutely loved our stay. The site is small and very basic, but you have everything you need. Clean drinking water close by. Clean toilet blocks with a lovely warm shower. Facilities to wash the dishes. Flat ground. This place is a wonderful base to set up so that you can go out and explore and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The real treat was the owners dog. Such a gentle, playful and friendly girl she was. My kids are terrified of dogs but they ended up playing fetch with her and petting her by the end of our stay. My daughter cried when we had to leave. Would absolutely recommend this place.

Disliked If I had to be super picky, there are only 2 showers. One for ladies, one for gents. If the site gets full I would imagine there might be a wait but we didn't experience any problems.

READ THE FULL AD. And know what you're getting into.

Aug 2026

Liked It was very peaceful, and the tent was clean. The host was friendly and the site is a real secluded paradise on the outside.

Disliked We really didn't enjoy our stay, cut our loses didn't stay for the full time we booked. One night was enough. The tent was bitterly cold. No form of heating at all available and no electricity. The closest toilet was a compost toilet which is as terrible as it sounds. And you walk in dead darkness to get to anything when the sun goes down. But in all fairness to the host, all of this was as advertised. The pictures are a bit misleading though as you see a proper flushing toilet, and a wood stove inside a tent, but this is only for selected ones. So I booked based on the images. But after reading carefully, this was all advertised. I'm still quite disappointed, but this one was on me I guess. Know what you're getting into before you go.

From the manager: It is regrettable that this customer did not read the full description of this tent, nor the Joining Pack we send out once we receive a booking. This helps customers understand what we provide, the proximity of our different facilities and what we recommend guests bring with them particulstly for those who are not regular campers! As a result they have clearly arrived under-prepared for the conditions and with expectations that would never be met by an off grid bell tent in a beautiful but unspoilt corner of Mid Wales. I particularly am sad that they did not discuss their problems with me before leaving (without telling us) as I would have been able to support them with further solar lighting and bedding packs. We had in fact slept onsite in a bell tent ourselves that night with our own young ones (2 and 5) and it was a cold night but with the right clothing and bedding/sleeping bags we were comfortable and enjoyed quality controlling our own tent! This family would probably have been happier in our yurts which do have wood burners and more lighting and bedding included- a gentler introduction to camping for inexperienced families!

Nice grounds and decent size pitches.…

July 2026

Liked Nice grounds and decent size pitches. Toilets were kept clean throughout the day and lots of access points to clean drinking water. The staff were great too. Very friendly and welcoming and they put on a whole bunch of activities to keep kids entertained. Would definitely recommend if you have kids 2-13.

Disliked Security driving around at night were noisy so most nights sleep was interrupted. Also, the swimming pool is advertised as heated but it is far from it. It's luke warm at best. There is a jacuzzi section that's really warm but very small.

Excellent camp site. I would highly recommend you give it a stay.

May 2026

Liked The host was great and checked up on us from time to time. Great facilities. It's not new or modern but everything works and toilets/showers are always clean. The grass was amazingly neat and soft which makes all the difference. It's a smaller site so the walk to facilities are simple and easy to leave and come back to site as well.

Disliked We were pitched on a bit of a slope, which means everything ( beds, kitchen, stove, tables) were too. This made sleeping and cooking a bit tricky, but we were only there for 2 nights, so it was okay.
