Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Lovely peaceful place to stay, and Gareth & Sue are very attentive hosts. Everything required for a self-contained campervan stay
Disliked The lights in the toilets only remain on for a few seconds - but waving arms around brings them back on 😂

From the manager: Thank you for your review Elspeth. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you with us again. Yes, we do try to emphasise to guests that we don't currently have electricity to the site and therefore ask them to bring their own torches. Nevertheless, we have two sets of solar lights in each toilet - one set to come on at night and stay on through the night. The other is PIR and activates in daytime when someone moves, which is the one I guess you are referring to. We do what we can until the electricity is connected. Kind regards, Gareth & Sue

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Excellent site, pitches with plenty of room, piston bar is super chilled.
Disliked The pitches on the non-electric field are a free for all, so when staying with a campervan, there’s a sense of anxiety over whether your pitch will still be there when you return from a day out…

From the manager: Many thanks for your review and we are pleased to see that you would return. With regards to pitches we normally find that guests leave levelling blocks, chairs/table etc to make it clear that the pitch is taken. We also have reserve boards that we can give to guests to put out in the hope that a new arrival does not use the pitch. We hope to see you again soon.
