Okehampton, Devon, England
Powered gravel and concrete caravan site (large)
Liked Location was good, we visited the gorge. Facilities were good. Only stayed for one night, stop over for Cornwall
National trust and a good pub for food within 10 minutes walk
Disliked Signage, we booked the night before, at the time of a road closure and this wasn’t mentioned in the booking confirmation. There are clear instructions with the booking that there is only one way in to the campsite with directions from north or south. It would have been helpful to know that the only way in was a road block and diversion sign but to ignore that to get to the campsite. Would have saved us at least half an hour.

Bala, Gwynedd, Wales
Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site (large)
Liked The grounds are beautiful, located a five minute walk to Bala lake and a short walk into the town. The toilet and shower block, really good, clean, warm with underfloor heating, I really liked the private wash and changing rooms that were separate to the shower rooms. Gave privacy for non shower change and wash. Good plan for pitches, we arrived after the office closed. Lots of side area/grass to the pitch, we had two dogs really good for them.
