From the manager: We’re genuinely disappointed to read your review, particularly the 1/10 rating for customer service. This feels very unfair, especially as no issues or concerns were raised with us during your stay. We always make ourselves available to help and are more than happy to resolve any problems if given the chance. In your case, we simply allowed you to enjoy your break in peace – including walking your dogs – as many guests prefer. We are a small, peaceful working farm campsite, not a commercial holiday park, and we work extremely hard to provide a clean, quiet, and welcoming environment. Our flat-rate pricing includes heated showers, clean facilities, free Wi-Fi, and electricity – with absolutely no hidden costs. What’s most disheartening is when small, family-run sites like ours receive low ratings without context or communication. There is a huge amount of work involved behind the scenes to keep places like this running – often for very little reward – and reviews like this can be deeply discouraging. Sadly, this is one of the reasons many small campsites are closing down across the country. We always welcome fair and honest feedback, but we also ask that guests consider the impact of their words, and the importance of raising any issues during their stay so we have a chance to put things right.
