Power optional grass site (large)
Liked The toilets, washing facilities and showers were clean ample and modern. There was plenty of room on each pitch. The beach and surrounding area was beautiful.
Disliked Whilst the beach was beautiful there was a very unpleasant smell which we found came from an open drain that was leaking into the river flowing to the sea. We would not return to this site because it is advertised as having no need of a swimming pool since the one can swim in the sea. I would not recomend swimming in that area.
We were also subjected to the noise from a wedding party at the adjoining camp site which went on to midnight. Very loud.

Powered grass site
Liked The guests and the proprietor were delightful. It was quiet and a fascinating stay with folk who are enjoying living a life not structured by the social norms. An honesty box for the home grown veg and wine and even the cost of the stay. Truly refreshing.

From the manager: thank you for your feedback, it is valuable to us. the scenery is great with the view of the Downs and the Sea from this site. we have checked the doors and they do lock, if you try to open the door after locking then you would find that they don't open, sorry that the shower light didn't work for you. we have also checked the light, it does work, the problem is that some people leave the light on after a shower and as they are solar powered they run down and don't recharge in darkness, however we will look into this and see if we can improve this, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
