Liked This was a stop over to break up a journey, so was there for only one night. The pitches are huge, which is a bonus. I also think it's in a nice setting (apart from road noise) with lots of old farming machinery dotted about.
Lovely pub nearby (Bathpool Inn).
Disliked There are only 4 showers (2 male, 2 female) that I could find. I was up early, so not a problem - but I don't think this is enough for the site size. The shower/toilet block is dated like the other reviews, but served the purpose. There are two additional toilets, but are very small so couldn't help my young children in those ones!
I did feel we weren't welcomed, not sure why.
There is a soft play area, but the families who pitched next to these dominated this area making it unusable for our children.

Liked Really nice site, and the showers in the back block are huge which is a bonus. All very clean and tidy. We were in a campervan, and the owner let us put a PUP tent for storage (child car seats) instead of the planned awning we brought (but didn't really want to put it up in the heatwave). The pitches are huge too!
Great location if you want to visit Cardiff or Barry.
Disliked The only dislike is no wifi, and poor signal, but not a show stopper. There were quite a few wasps and ants about, but I think that may be a reflection of the heatwave and lack of food/water - we just had to make sure no food was left out.

Liked Small site, flat, well drained ground in nice setting. Nice having a playing field to fly kites.
Disliked Cold shower on the Sunday morning; perfectly fine the other days.
