Liked Cute little site with the pond the central feature. Free for all pitch set up around the fishing lake meaning that you could set up wherever you wanted to. Really friendly owner checked in every day with plenty of chat and ideas on things he wants to do on site that will definately increase the popularity of this back to nature site. The toilet and shower were clean with hot water, it is a shame there is no walkable route to local pubs or to be able to explore the area on foot BUT that is not to say it isn't possible, just means driving out which we did to the Rumburgh Buck - lovely food and a quaint country pub/restaurant. We had a lovely time.

Liked Location - lovely pub The White Swan we ate here both days had a few drinks very friendly log fire really chilled. Husband had a good couple of hours fishing on site whilst I explored the area on foot experiencing the very flooded River Trent. Together we also walked over to Fledborough viaduct. Plenty to do - weather wasn’t great for us but on a weekday or Sat there was an option to use the bus links into Lincoln - showers and toilets adequate and easy check in - site was quiet and I liked the mix of lodges and van spots
Disliked Nothing that would put me off recommending

Liked The relaxed simple back to basics surroundings - loved the pitch’s amongst the wildflower/long grass great idea and the woodland walk - so lots of butterflies birds a couple of deer bats - some friends joined us for a BBQ on the night we were there - they enjoyed the relaxed vibe too - lots of little areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings
Disliked It was hot & as a result the toilets were a little musty smelling but clean! The tea room wasn’t open and didn’t look like it had been for a while

Liked The location was awesome right at the start of the Pennine Way with the Nags Head opposite and a cafe and shop pretty much on site. Staff friendly and site not too busy
Disliked I’m not the first to mention the toilet block BUT they are open about the condition of them and the fact they are working on replacing them 👍🏻

Liked The facilities and the location - Le Haye on Puits is very pretty with everything you might need and just a short walk from the site. The pool was lovely and bar/outdoor seating was a great addition. We were pitched quite close to the toilet/shower block which in itself was clean and tidy. For younger children there seemed to be loads to do.

Liked Friendly helpful reception and bar staff - roomy pitches with natural barriers - free roaming cute chicks - layout lovely - walked through the National parc at the back of the site via the blockhouse museum which was (in my husbands view) worth a visit
Disliked It’s not a dislike just a comment we struggled to find our pitch - couldn’t quite see the post with the number which meant we were up and down a few times 😬 I hastened to add we were also given a map and shown where to go - probably says more about us 😀 the big pool is cold proper cold - great on a hot hot day didn’t seem to bother many though!

Liked The facilities - bar was a plus staff super friendly, toilets & showers were warm in need of a little updating in places. Reception staff were lovely really helpful
Disliked It’s a shame dog owners aren’t picking up after their dogs - we had a pile right on our pitch but other than that absolutely no complaints a great site
