The bar looked closed most nights we passed so not sure if it had closed for the season, possibly due to the children in that area returning to school, whereas ours had another week off

From the manager: Thank you for your review, Suzanne. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your seaside stay and found the pitch spacious, the site quiet, and the facilities clean and convenient. It is great to know the shop was well stocked and that the location worked well for visiting Filey and Scarborough. With regards to the bar, it is not advertised as a restaurant, so food is not available there. We do have other food options on site including the fish and chip shop, and plenty of local takeways deliver here. We appreciate your comment about the bar looking dated, although we do like it to have its own character rather than looking the same as every other campsite bar. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to Crows Nest again in the future.
Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, England
Powered grass caravan site
Liked Everything. Lovely small campsite with everything you need. I think the bar was a converted barn, nicely decorated and the food options changed daily, which is a great idea. The toilets and showers block was roomy and plentiful. There was a hairdryer and straighteners available for 20p coin usage each. Kirkby Stephen town has everything you need too like a Coop supermarket, 2 Spar shops, takeaways, cafes, boutiques and a lovely ice cream parlour called Sally’s. We will be back!
