Powered grass site
Liked Beautifully maintained campsite with fantastic flat spacious pitches. Accommodated our camper van with a large awning. Wooden picnic table also included. Annette the owner is lovely and showed us to our pitch.
Showers are hot and powerful with clean modern toilet facilities.
Wheal farm is in a great spot for exploring Cornwall with Praa sands beach only 15 minutes away.
The site was extremely peaceful, relaxed and quiet. All other campers were very respectful of each other which made for a great stress free stay.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Wheal Vreagh and would definitely return. Thank you so much Annette for a great stay.

VW powered grass campervan site
Liked My husband, son and I stayed at 'The Orchard' in mid-August for 10 days booking a campervan spot. This campsite is beautifully kept, well maintained and spotlessly clean! The pitch was good sized and well spaced out.
We received a wonderful welcome from Brad and Diane. Information was clear and concise. The facilities were immaculate with a large modern toilet / shower block. The cleaners June and Dudley were fantastic, cleaning these facilities 3 times a day, absolutely spotless! I don't know how they do it! The showers were hot and we never had to queue. There were also separate sinks which were great!
The location is super, we only used our van twice in ten days as we didn't need to. Short Bridlepath from Ninham to Shanklin train station (20 - 25 min walk), which brings you out to the Aldi supermarket which was really handy on our way home to pick up our BBQ products.
There is a small pool on site, which we used on the first day which operates on a booking system.
Quiet time rules are in place to be observed from 9pm to 9am which most people on the whole did.
The surroundings are beautiful, well laid out and maintained.
All in all a fantastic, beautiful campsite!
Disliked Nothing really.
The only one comment I would make is that once a week before 6am the refuse collection van comes which is quite noisy... but there is not much the owners could do about that. Obviously only affects those camped nearby.
One recommendation would be if it was possible to perhaps an hour a day make the swimming pool available just for an adult swim.

Powered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked We stayed at Pam and Katie's site for 9 nights on a fantastic motorhome level pitch that was so spacious. From the minute we met Pam she made us feel so welcome and is one of the loveliest ladies you could ever meet along with her beautiful family. She only wants the best for her visitors and is always willing to go the extra mile for you.
The site is in a great spot for access to Cardigan, there is a Tesco's just down the hill (5 mins in the car) which was so handy. It is also situated not far from great beaches, which were all stunning.
Pam and her family maintain the site beautifully, the toilets and shower block are modern, showers warm and spotlessly clean. Measures are in place for Covid which meant one in one out however even with this in place we didn't have to queue long even at busy times.
The site is extremely peaceful, the pitches are spaced out well. If you need a quiet relaxing break this is the place to come. We stayed during the storm and Pam kept us regularly updated, communication is ace!
We look forward to visiting again soon and wish you Pam and Katie all the very best for your future plans with the site, can't wait to see the alpacha's!!
Thanks for a great stay Julie, Andy and James
