Holt, Norfolk, England
Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked It was OK
Disliked Literally a field in the middle of nowhere, unfortunately it howled and poured the night we stayed so we were little concerned we would stuck in the ground in the morning. There was one group on the other side of the field who were playing techno (?) way past the curfew which didn't help. Facilities are good but maybe insufficient in number if the site was full.

From the manager: Hi Ingrid, I’m sorry the British weather let you down for your stay….something none of us can control unfortunately! You are aware we are not a ‘concrete’ campsite, but more to use your words…’a field in the middle of nowhere’ i.e. (wild camping) so the possibility of wet ground after heavy rain is always going to be a factor. Sadly an assumption was made that the very polite young adults camping on the other field were playing music. I myself was on site all evening and confirmed that the music was from a function in the nearby village & the sound was being carried in the wind & nothing to do with the campers.
