Liked Stopover on way home, directly on route. Had read about noise from road and wore ear plugs so wasn't an issue. Good to be able to have a meal in pub. Basic menu but what you'd expect. Homecooked pie very tasty.
Disliked Toilets and showers very basic. If improved score would be better.

Liked Really well maintained site. Dog off lead area useful for early morning sniff about. Beautiful flower beds. We didn't eat on site, however I can see this would be great if staying longer. Useful location to stop over.
Disliked We only stayed 1 night so not really an issue for us but there wasn't really any walks straight from site that didn't involve keeping dogs on leads or walking down roads.

Liked Ideally located for a walk to beach and Barmouth town centre. Dog wash on site which is great after a walk on beach. Toilets and showers kept really clean.
A must is a visit to The Mermaid Fish and Chip shop, followed by the fabulous bakery next door Popty'r Dref. Best custard slices ever tasted, so many fabulous cakes on offer along with pies and pastries. Staff on site very helpful
Disliked Showers a little dated.
There was a railway line directly behind us, but must point out that did not disturb us.

Liked Well kept site. Nigel very kindly lent fishing net as forgot to pack one. Saw peacocks, Hedgehogs, monkjack dear and hares as well as ducks and geese. Hubby caught a lot if small silver fish and a couple of small carp, I had lovely time just sitting watching, very tranquil.
Disliked Although a dedicated dog walk, dogs needed to be on leads. There was nowhere else within walking distance to safely let our 2 dogs have a good run about. This wouldn't be a issue for most people but our dogs do need a fair amount of exercise and do enjoy walking from sitenot driving. Drove out to fens on 2nd day and they had lovely time. Also, it was a little disappointing that sweet treats not open during our stay as was looking forward to cake. Just out of season 😪

From the manager: Thank you for your review and lovely comments. Sorry that you disliked not being able to let your dogs off the leads, unfortunately I think that you will find that this is a rule on most of the sites that you will visit, we have to respect that some guests do not have dogs and are worried by dogs approaching them off leads the other factor is that if dogs were to roam free you wouldnt have all the wildlife on site and it might be that your dog would chase them and not come back to you. Unfortunately when you visited you only stayed mid week and out of season and we cannot guaratee that the cake shop will be open it is dependant on the amount of visitors staying with us, but we are open most weekends especially Friday with the Fish & Chip Shop Service and Sunday Roast Lunches.

Liked A really lovely stay at Willow Park. The site is well maintained and site manager welcoming and happy to share local knowledge of area. Plenty of places to walk dogs close by including country park literally 5 minute stroll from site. Half hour walk to Godmanchester with its lovely duck ponds and pike swimming below bridge as well as lovely walk along river and locks. We will definitely be going back for another stay.

No. 30 powered grass site
Liked Toilet and showers excellent. This was our first trip camping in over 20 years and it was lovely to have a really good shower in a lovely and clean facility.
Disliked Minor thing but would of been helpful to have information provided about local amenities such as shop pubs etc and when they opened and served food.
Also the washing up area has a very strange step to sink which was a bit of a trip hazzard for me.
The pitch up website also said local produce on sale on site. This is not accurate.
