Liked Good sized pitch and clean shower and toilets. No issues on the site. Pub food was great with my 50 year old wife saying it was the best pub steak she had ever had.

Liked Location and relaxation of the site. Despite having no reception or greeting communication was OK from the owner

Disliked Very basic facilities and the eco toilets where you smell and visibility look at other people's faeces in the toilet. Then have minimal hand-wash facilities, bars of soap and 5 second showers at the end of the day.

As a dedicated basic eco-campsite, as advertised, our facilities are designed specifically to minimize environmental impact, including our timed, water-saving showers. We pride ourselves on the overall cleanliness of our facilities, our attention to detail, and the high level of care we put into the campsite. Our composting toilets with urine separation are cleaned regularly, with regular waste disposal and ample supplies of sawdust always available for guest use. Liked For the most part the showers were cleaned and great and the location was ideal.

Disliked Toilets had no working light in the females and one with a light was full of faeces and blocked. Reported to bar staff as not really aware of who to as no real communication or welcome. Avoid the on site pub. Site felt like a car park with no character. Needs work.

Disliked Next to railway line, trains every 15 minutes.Next to motorway. Pub closed unlikely advertised. Had to then drive to a supermarket for a 4 pack and a coop meal deal. Not the best site. Two toilets and sinks. Had to wipe the toilets before use.

Liked Clean facilities and the site was clean and tidy. Next to river so nice views with a safe walk to the Abbey and into Richmond.

Disliked No information given on arrival, WiFi password, reception or shop opening times. Too many children running around with no supervision. Kicking balls at vehicles.

As Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park is in a rural setting a strong phone signal cannot be guaranteed. There is a phone box located a few minutes walk away for any emergencies if you don't get signal. We hope to see you again soon.

Liked Clean, friendly, nice clean facilities and bar. Good customer service. Restaurant didn't serve food on this night but advised to go into village where we had a nice meal. Went and had a drink in the site bar that was to a good standard. Keep up the good work 👏

Disliked Shower block is at a disappointing standard, no toilet rolls, dirty toilets and showers and overall cleaning is Poor . If you need facilities, don't stay here. Tried 3 toilets and all full of faeces Trains are running most of the time however they are advertising this.
