Liked It was scenic and peaceful.
Disliked It would be great if there was a discount available for solo travellers. I arrived by myself with my tiny tent attached to my trusty bicycle and I seem to have paid the same amount as a couple who turn up with a dog, a large tent, awning and separate gazebo.

Liked Love this place - have stayed more than once. Matt and Frida so welcoming and friendly. If you stay here you HAVE to see the old orchard - planted around 1943 by Matt's great Grandfather....honestly it's something else - no sounds except birds and humming of insects.
And Biscuit the dog is pure class.
Disliked NOTHING!

Liked Campsite of a Lifetime!
Really special wildlife-friendly campsite for a weary cycle-tourer to come across. Karl and Bethan are SO hospitable, kind and friendly - you won't find better hosts. Truly remarkable, thoughtful and creative people.
They've thought of everything you could possibly need on the campsite and everything is handmade, quirky and characterful. I only spent one night here, but left feeling fully rested and restored. I had the campsite to myself but it only allows maximum 6 pitches so would always be peaceful.
Woke early the next morning for a few hours walking around Shapwick Heath Nature Reserve next door. Very tranquil and saw Marsh Harrier, Buzzards, Kingfisher, Willow warblers and a badger!
Would definitely love to visit again. Thank you Bethan and Karl!

Liked Outstanding nature-sympathetic campsite for a weary cycle-tourer to come across! Frida and Matt are incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming. They really give their time up to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.
Walking distance from Mapperton rewilding project and cycling distance from Dorset Wildlife Trust's spectacular Kingcombe Meadows National Nature Reserve.
I especially appreciated a discount as a single camper - I've never experienced that before, but now wish every campsite offered that option!
Exceptional wood-fired pizzas shared on a social evening with the neighbouring campsite as well.
Thank you Hincknowle!
