Liked Legends clubhouse open 7 days a week from 4pm. Cafe 24 with its excellent menu, Antique shops. Garden centre. Reclaim yard. Dog grooming shops. Huge dog friendly site with dogs on leads allowed in all venues except the Owl Sanctuary Museum and the Village Stores both of which is understandable. Alcohol cheap at £4ish a pint in clubhouse and cafe 24. More on at weekends with bingo, huge showground events and separate car boot sale area.
Disliked Very limited menu in the clubhouse for evening meal restricted to pizza or burgers really with a few sides of chips or nachos available. Jacket potatoes also available.
Not our cup of tea but fishing lake and 9 hole golf course seemed popular but crazy golf looked good.

Liked Excellent showering and washroom facilities with plenty of hot water. Washing machine and freezer facilities in washing up area. Plenty of good walks. Dog friendly pub and restaurant. Everywhere clean and tidy.
Boat watching fascinating.
Disliked Water tap on pitch did not connect to hose pipe. Found out later that water tank fill up hose is near site entrance. No food Mondays and Tuesdays.

Liked Cleanliness of whole site. Excellent washroom facilities. Very handy for Colchester-you could walk to main town centre within an hour.
Disliked Not being able to position motorhome door onto grass from premium pitches. Changed to grass pitch but still a bit fussy on how you park. Usually you can park anywhere within your pitch. Lots of traffic noise, especially hgvs from A12 (alongside) all night long.

Liked What a gem of a site. Met our daughter (+family) in their new motorhome there with ours.(First time for both of us). So much help from Paul and Daniel with water and electric hook up as we had not considered need. Chose to pitch at far end of field as everyone else was crammed around the fantastic shower/toilet block. We would rather walk past everyone else than have all walk past us and no noise from A47 at far end. Excellent showers and toilets. Very dog friendly.
Shop well stocked with basics and very helpful assistant. Ice cream man visit a bonus. Good Wi Fi even where we were camped as we all got on instantly.
Uber eats, Deliveroo and Just eat all delivered there as well as local chippie. Sit down Chinese best part of a miles walk away. Recommended.
Disliked A gate at far end of site for bus stop would have been handy but maybe loss of security would mean one is not feasible.
