Friendly staff Amazing coffee Lovely well stocked farm shop Great cafe/bar which is lovely to sit in or you can take away Good position near pebble beach Considering the number of people using the toilet it was kept nice & clean. Cafe lovely & immaculate.

- Their description fails to describe that the pitches are not just next to a train track but also a whistle point where you (& kids) will be woken up by the train late at night & early in the morning by an ear piercing whistle or by the freight train going through in the early hours. - not all the staff seem to know much about the pitches. we specifically asked for a quiet pitch & when I went to question the one I’d been sent to because of how busy/noisy (they’d actually told me to pitch next to the whistle sign), I asked if I could move up through the gate into a different area. I was told I couldn’t as that was for vans only (it turned out it wasn’t which we only discovered after we’d pitched) - it is definitely not a quiet site & a family staying with 4/5 dogs that never stopped yapping/barking weren’t asked to quiet/control them even when we raised a concern (we had a dog ourselves who we kept completely quiet). - only 1 female & 1 male toilet unless you walk up to the other two by reception. It’s also next to impossible to get in with a child to help them on the toilet. - Showers paying 20p for a very fast 2 minutes of low pressure water. Biggest problem however is there is nowhere to dress as if you step out of the shower to the dry area you are stood in front of the door which has a large slightly frosted window which wouldn’t leave much to the imagination for people waiting outside for the shower. Definitely not family friendly & my girls weren’t a fan at all. - if you have a child with a disability definitely not suitable if you plan to camp. Facilities very disabled unfriendly & my daughter was completely overwhelmed by the noise & became quite distressed at times.

Amazing location, 2 mins walk to the beach, kids loved waving when the train went past, the train station is walking distance, will definitely use this next time. Pub, cafe and farm shop on site. Cows, goats and sheep in neighbouring fields which the kids loved, goats were quite friendly and would come over to see us at the fence. Fantastic views across to Barmouth and surrounding coastline, amazing sunset and a beautiful beach! Basic facilities, all clean and well maintained.

The entrance for touring caravans is quite narrow and there is a big speed bump on the way into the site which was a bit of a pain to tow a caravan over. That being said- would definitely stay again and would be more confident driving the caravan on the site now we are more familiar with it.

The location is perfect, on the coast with superb views towards the Llŷn, and just 5 minutes walk from the railway station (ignore the negative comments about the trains, they’re a real asset in enabling visits along a loooong section of this stunning coast. The staff are really helpful and polite. The pub/cafe is excellent, and very welcome now that the Garthangharad is closed. There’s a lovely mix of local people and visitors. The site has easy, safe beach access. The farm shop sells camping basics but also some real gourmet items. Try the pies!

I don’t want the following to detract from a lovely stay, but…The basic facilities were barely adequate for the number of visitors on site. This showed in queues for toilets and showers, recycling bins overflowing on Sunday when the collection is on Thursday, resulting in plastics and cardboard blowing around the site, and pitches being too small and close together. I’ll also mention the lack of drainage at the water point, so that the hose actually dangles into mud. Far from ideal.
