Liked: Great hot showers which were very much needed on the storm we had! Decent size pitches and very friendly staff!
Disliked: Only issue we had was the weather which meant we did end up standing on muddy puddles in the tent

Liked: This place is hard to beat, it's like a dream.
So well organized and maintained, really incredible.
Beautiful views and the Lake nearby is unforgettable.Disliked: The only thing I disliked , was the road to get there, a bit tricky and only space for a car in a 2 way road in many places, and you get trucks, and drivers coming in the opposite direction like they were in the highway. :o
Obviously this has nothing to do with the lovely campsite in question, but this makes it difficult to get there.

Liked: The site is very well organised, friendly and has most things a camper would want; freezers, fresh croissants, clean toilets, well stocked shop, nearby pubs and cafes.
Disliked: Our pitch had a big hole on the centre which made positioning our tent difficult, we did our best but when it rained the muddy puddle water ran into the porch.
The play area shut at 9:30pm but every night children were playing loudly until 10:30/11pm

Liked: Great area for walks and close to Scarfell Pike. Very large lake to enjoy water sports.
Excellent shop and staff, site well maintained overall.Disliked: Can become boggy after down fall, as camp due, un-avoidably to it's location, set on solid ground so pooling under or around tent can happen. Advise having ground sheet and very good tent pegs.

Disliked: Toilets and showers only cleaned once a day and could do with an upgrade.
Hello and thanks for the feedback. We would like to point out that we only shut the toilet blokc for an hour everyday, but cleaning takes place 3 times a day. We also check and deal with any issues in the toilets regularly, and when issues are highlighted to our staff.
In terms of our facilites, we have recently received the highest grading during our AA ratings inspection, but will take your feedback on board.

Sorry to hear that the previous occupent had caused damage to the pitch and we weren't able to fix the issue before you checked in and had pitched. If you had let us know before pitching your tent, we would have repaired the area so you were able to better pitch your tent. We also patrol and make sure that the childrens playarea and football field are clear of children, but we don't stop them playing at their own tents. IF you had let us know that there was considerable noise on site we would have been happy to have dealt with the issue while you were on site.
