Camp site with lots of little fields. Boys liked the football pitch & play ground. Great friendly welcoming.

Only 1 toilet/shower block which was a bit a couple minutes walk from our pitch, shame there wasn’t a toilet else where on the site. Great location for paddle boarding & swimming in Wast Water lake.

We liked everything about this site; from the warm and friendly welcome, the good and clean wash/toilet block, sizeable pitch and amazing views; to the on site pizza van and nearby pub (The Strands Inn) and cafe (The Sawmill).

Absolutely nothing.

Was a big campsite with lots of space so you wasn't too close to other tents. There was a farm shop of sire with plenty of food and drinks available to buy as well as fresh water supply on every field. We rented out a fire fit and boight wood from the farm shop which was well worth the money. It was a 5 minute walk to the pub where they serve food and a cafe 7min walk away where they do a lovely full English. Would highly recommend the staff are friendly!

Site is located in a quiet area with lots of walks and lakes to visit nearby. Whole site and facilities are well maintained. Access to Wi-Fi at the reception was helpful - allowing older children to access and contact friends, while keeping the rest of the stay free from electronic distractions. Beautiful scenery from the site.

The park and ball play area kept my children amused for hours. The toilets and showers are well maintained and easily accessible. The dishwashing area was a good size and also well maintained. The wardens kept a discreet eye on the whole facility which gave an added feeling of security. The camping areas were all well maintained and kept tidy.

The service form the staff was unmatched- absolutely amazing.

The location is beautiful. A short walk to Wast water. Onsite facilities are excellent.

Loved the atmosphere, the cleanliness of the facilities, the warm welcome from the owners/hosts. How equipped the place was and the shop has a selection of everything you need in case you forget something. The surroundings are beautiful.

3 ladies parked their car right in front of our tent (even though there was plenty of space on the field) they pitched their tent up next to ours and have been so noisy during our first night, we could not sleep properly - they were screaming and laughing till about 2am, bothering all the other campers who were there to relax and rest. Other than this everything was perfect.
