It's free, quick and easy!
- Peaceful coastal site set among orange groves 500m from Miramar beach
- Within an hour's drive of Benidorm's theme parks and waterparks
- Outdoor pool and common room with cinema screen and dance floor
A peaceful setting among Spanish orange groves and a 500-metre amble to a golden Valencian beach – sound splendid? Have it sorted at the quiet coastal site of Camping Coelius.
It's a short stroll to the nearest sandy beach in Miramar from here, and the site is well set for Spanish day tripping (or travelling further around Spain, if you're a fortunate sort who can spend a few months touring): your sandy setting is 70 kilometres south of Valencia, 120 kilometres north of Alicante and within an hour's drive of the theme parks, waterparks and lively vibe of Benidorm. Gandia, one of the biggest towns on the Costa del Azahar, is a few kilometres away.
For days lounging around site, an outdoor pool is at your disposal (kids must be at least 0.5 metres or 1.6 feet to use it, please), a multisports court, and a big recreation room with a cinema screen for lazy evenings as well as a dance floor to embarrass the kids when you strut your stuff. A restaurant and bar serves local cuisine and daily specials, and there's a terrace area 200 metres from the beach.
Amenities include two washing-up areas and a modern and well-maintained accessible sanitary block – heated during autumn and winter and available 24 hours a day all year round – with changing rooms, shower cubicles, toilets, washbasins, mirrors, electrical outlets and baby bathtubs.

Local attractions
As Gandia's one of the biggest coastal towns on the Costa del Azahar, it's crammed with bars, nightclubs, restaurants and shops to keep you busy from dawn to dusk. While you're there, take a look at the Ducal Palace (where the Route of the Borgias begins), the Collegiate Basilica of Gandia, the Convent of Santa Clara and the archaeology museum of Sant Marc Hospital if you want to delve a bit into local history.
Party town and Brit favourite Benidorm is less an hour's drive south, for attractions including the Aqualandia waterpark, Terra Mitica theme park and Mundomar marine zoo as well as heaps of pubs and cafés; if you seek an English fryup anywhere on the Spanish coast, your eggs and bacon will be found here.
A bit further afield at 80 kilometres is Valencia, with its historic indoor market, Mercado Central; spectacular and swish science and culture park; a big zoo, and Europe's biggest aquarium, Oceanografico, with a dolphinarium and 500 species housed in reconstructions of the world's main marine habitats: go see.
