Camping La Ribera

Like pretty much the rest of Catalonia, Lerida is in lovely locale. The part surrounding Camping La Ribera is in an equally splendid setting for holidaymakers to get stuck into the sports, nature and culture of the area, first up at the Sant Ponc Reservoir for kayaking and for carp, barbel, pike and black bass fishing from its banks. The Solsonès have trails for hiking, cycling or horse riding as well as a well-ridden mountain bike route – or you could have some hair-raising adventuring paragliding over this part of the Pyrenees. Nearby Solsona, the capital of the Solsonès, has an Old Town worth ambling around and the neoclassical cathedral of Santa Maria de Solsona as its best known sight. You could also take a look at the nearby town of Bages, and at Cardona, set on a hill surrounded by river and with a castle way high up. Barcelona is just over 100 kilometres away.
