Ready for some real rural relaxation? Bring your tourer along to Agricola Siurana and you’ll be pitching among more than 35 fabulous acres of organic olive trees in the Catalonia countryside, about five minutes’ drive from Siurana. Here in the flat meadow you’ll have plenty of space to relax in a peaceful atmosphere with gorgeous views over the Empordà plain up to the Pyrenees and across to the Gulf of Roses. You will, however, have to share that space with the residents – in the form of over 9,000 organic egg-laying chickens that are lucky enough to live here all year round. Want to learn a bit more about the agriculture that goes on here? You can join a guided tour of the family-run olive oil mill, learning all about the production of this renowned extra-virgin olive oil and meeting the aforementioned chickens. And if all this has left you feeling the need to sample, all you need do is head into the café or visit the site shop, which is stocked with local produce and the farm’s own oils. Once you’ve gathered your wares, a picnic area awaits for your outdoor meals. Facilities on site have been kept to a minimum, so there’s very little to interfere with your time spent soaking up the fresh air, the views and the natural peace. All the essentials are in place, though – you’ll have access to drinking water, toilets, showers and discharge points for grey and black water.

  • The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
  • The grocery shop is open between 01/01 and 31/12.
  • Reception is unmanned after 7:30 p.m.. Please inform the campground while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time so that the team can provide information about your unit/site.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
  • A cable measuring at least 5 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.

Liked Accueil très chaleureux, les propriétaires m’ont aidé après la panne de batterie de ma voiture.
La patronne parle plusieurs langues, ce qui est très pratique!
Ce sont des personnes adorables, très conciliantes!
Les emplacements sont spacieux. Les douches sont chaudes, et les sanitaires toujours propres. L’accès à la boutique est un plus! Et des accès à l’eau potable sont placés à plusieurs endroits!

Disliked La saison pluvieuse actuelle, fait que l’accès au différents emplacements, se fait par des chemins très boueux. Mais â même temps, nous sommes dans une exploitation agricole.

Liked Super nette Betreiber, Natur pur, alles da was man benötigt. Schöne moderne und große Duschen. Ruhe und Natur!

Disliked Leider teilweise rücksichtslose Camper, die Hunde einfach über alle Stellplätze frei laufen lassen und die Hinterlassenschaften nicht entfernen (dafür kann der Betreiber nichts...). Wir hatten mehrere Tage Dauerregen, viele Schlammlöcher auf dem Gelände und vor allem bei der Zufahrt und Entsorgung.

Liked Sehr freundlicher Empfang und schöne, ruhige Stellplätze zwischen Olivenbäumen. Toiletten / Duschen sehr sauber, heißes Wasser und Duschgel (wohl auch aus der Cooperative?) vorhanden.
Einfache Grauwasserentsorgung und Frischwasserauffüllung.
Nicht zu vergessen der tolle Shop: viele Olivenöle, Olivenölprodukte (auch Kosmetik!!), aber auch Lebensmittel für den täglichen Bedarf (Milch, Butter, Käse, Schinken, Wein, Bier uvm.)

Liked We liked everything about Agricola Siurana. What a beautiful environment to stay at. The quality of the sanitary facilities was excellent. They have a little shop which sells quality Olive Oil products as well as sauces, pastas, bread, cakes and biscuits. The pitches are spacious (huge) and actually very peaceful, despite the fact that we stayed during the Olive harvest and production season.
We are hoping to visit again, all being well, perhaps around Christmas. The owner was delightful and super helpful. Looking forward to visiting the region again for more cycling and hiking.

Local attractions

Time to head out? There are hiking and bike routes you can follow from the property to give you a taste of the local area. The Romanesque Monastery of Sant Miquel de Fluvià (four kilometres away) is a good focal point for a walk, and the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà nature reserve (20 minutes’ drive) is another lovely choice for a walk and some birdwatching. This region is dotted with historic buildings to seek out – places like the ruined city of Empúries (15 minutes), the Ciutadella de Roses Museum (25 minutes), Montgrí Castle (half an hour) and the ancient Iberian city of Ullastret (half an hour). If you need a break from sightseeing, you may like to know there’s a long beach running all the way along the coast from Roses to Empúries (20 minutes if you’d like to drive straight to the beach). Of course, one can’t ignore one of the area’s most famous sons – Salvador Dalí. The Dalí Theatre and Museum in Figueres (15 minutes) is an incredible place to visit, and the Gala Dalí Castle & Museum (half an hour) also has a lot to offer.
