Great spot near the beach & town. Staff are legends! Sites are decent & shady. Shops & lake are a bonus. But facilities are a bit rough & ready, water's a bit dodgy sometimes. Could get a bit noisy with young groups, but generally chill.

Liked Über diesen Campingplatz gibt es nichts positives zu sagen, es war katastrophal!

Disliked Die Plätze waren klein und total verdreckt, wir hatten auch keinen Strom am Platz, und niemand wollte uns mitteilen wie lange es dauert bis wir Strom bekommen, bei der Anmeldung hat man uns davon jedoch nichts gesagt. Die Duschen waren eine absolute Zumutung, Schimmel an der Decke und den Wänden!!! Alles total verdreckt! Eine bodenlose Frechheit für so einen Platz Geld zu verlangen!

Liked Proximité avec la mer, barrière avec carte pratique , espace pour les services accessible, vie sur le lac

Disliked Sanitaires et douches très sales !!!! Routes internes petites pour camping car (surtout en hauteur), caravane qui s approprie d autorité les points d eau en se branchant définitivement , électricité instable avec bcp de coupure et remise en route (résultat notre frigo hs !!!!! ). Surtout il faut interdire les climatisations sur toutes les caravanes et camping car qui font trop de bruit et son pas du tout en cohérence avec le camping.

Liked Nous n avons pas aimé , l électricité saute continuellement, pas adapté pour une climatisation
Beaucoup de mouches ce qui est insupportable et difficile de manger dehors
Par contre le personnel est serviable et la plage n est pas loi

Local attractions

There’s more to L’Escala than just the beach. Càmping Lacus is within walking distance of the scenic Old Town and the museum of Alfolí de la Sal – while you’re wandering the streets, be sure to take the time to try the local delicacy: anchovies. There are oodles of factories to visit, and the Museu de l’Anxova i de la Sal is worth a stop. The site is a 10-minute drive from the remains of the millennia-old trading town, Empúries, where you can explore the ruins that date to the second-century BC and visit the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya. For a taste of human folly, pull on your serious shoes and hike to the spectacular but unfinished Montgrí Castle at the top of Torroella de Montgrí mountain then make yourself feel better about the successes of human civilisation with a visit to the Fundació Mascort gallery, both less than 20 minutes from Càmping Lacus. If you want a broader urban experience than you’ve had in L’Escala, the museums, galleries, restaurants and shops of the city of Girona are less than an hour from the site. The Museu del Cinema-Col·lecció Tomàs Mallol, the Passeig de la Muralla and, 20 minutes outside the city, the Fundació Mona primate sanctuary are must-sees.
