Mara Camping is a well-maintained and peaceful lakeside park surrounded by the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia's Liptov Basin, within easy reach of the Váh river and around seven kilometres from the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. The site is the only resort on the shore of Slovakia's largest water reservoir, Liptovská Mara, which makes for lots of good water-based and outdoor activity options such as flyboarding, wakesurfing, kneeboarding, speedboating, stand-up paddling, sailing, fishing, sightseeing cruises, bike tours, hiking and lots more. Pitches at the park are grassy and spacious, and among the facilities are an outdoor pool, fishing, bike hire and boat rental, as well as a fun zone for the kids with activities like swimming and aquazorbing. There's also a buffet restaurant dishing up things like fresh salads, kebabs and pancakes, plus a beach bar serving cocktails, frozen yogurt and ice cream. Guests can choose to go breakfast-only, half board or full board.

On site there's a lifeguarded beach pool and a watersports centre with plenty of activities such as flyboarding, wakesurfing, kneeboarding, speedboating, stand-up paddling and more. The site also has its own cruise boat for sightseeing trips around Liptovská Mara with spectacular views of the Tatras and the surrounding countryside. Around three kilometres from Mara Camping on the north bank of dam Liptovská Mara you'll find the thermal waterpark of Aquapark Tatralandia, one of the biggest of its kind in Central Europe.
