Strandcamping Groede

It’s only a drive of about five minutes to reach the scenic lands of the Groese Polders, a collection of small nature reserves and play areas. Get along to the Cletemspolder area if you’re on your Holland hol with the kids, as this has a child-friendly design, a raft and a lookout point. It’s about 55 minutes’ drive or 60 kilometres from the site to Zeeland capital Middleburg – or, to be truly Dutch, about a third of that distance if you go by bike and ferry. Once there, there are several museums to wander around, canals to picnic by and lush merchants’ houses from the 17th and 18th century to get envious at. Over the border into Belgium, more town days are at Damme and Knokke-Heist, each 35 minutes away, and it’s only 10 minutes more to reach splendid and handsome Bruges, the capital of West Flanders and home to a historic centre that’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Klok'uus amusement park is 55 minutes away.
