Camping Fraai is an original small-scale mini campsite located on a hidden piece of land, just outside Haulerwijk. This town is located in Friesland, but Groningen and Drenthe are just around the corner. The city of Groningen, Assen and Drachten are only a 30 minute drive away. From Camping Fraai you can literally go in all directions. Bicycle rental, shops, restaurants and other facilities are within walking and cycling distance. Nice villages such as Veenhuizen, Norg and Bakkeveen can be reached by bicycle. For longer distances, the bus stop is in front of the door.
Camping Fraai is car-free and offers spacious camping spots. There is a communal fire pit on site, but you can also make a fire in your own tent. We follow the heating alert, which means that if the weather conditions are not favorable, fire is not allowed. We have been appointed as a Special Campsite. We also have some special accommodations for rent: two Pipo cars (one with its own shower and toilet), an SRV car and two retro caravans. At Camping Fraai you will experience peace and hospitality in a personal atmosphere. This makes you feel at home quickly. Hostess is Miranda Kleisen. She can tell you a lot about (cultural) activities in the area, special shops, beautiful museums, fun things to do with children, flea markets and special trips. She also provides delicious extensive breakfasts. Host Wim van der Zel is happy to talk to you about old-timers and help you if something is not working at the campsite. Camping Fraai is a child-friendly campsite.
