You may be dreaming of lazy lakeside days… but it’s possible your kids have entirely different plans for their holiday. Keep the familial harmony with a stay at EuroParcs Zuiderzee, where there’s plenty of scope for heaps of activity, or very little if you so desire. Here on the banks of the Veluwemeer, leisurely sorts may well find themselves drawn to days on the beach, perhaps hiring a boat or a bike for hours on/around the lake… and later returning for a scenic meal at the steakhouse. Tireless kids, meanwhile, can spend their days bouncing around between the site’s various playgrounds, the giant jumping pillow, the petting zoo, the pedal cars and the miniature golf course. Come by in the school holidays and there’s a busy programme of kids’ activities to add to the action. Meals, drinks and ice creams are easily sorted all through the day at the restaurant, bar and snack bar; self-catering sorts can rent barbecues or raclette grills on site and pick up supplies a 10-minute drive away in Biddinghuizen.

Pitches get the thumbs up for being roomy and right by the water. Reception staff are generally friendly. But, a bunch of folks found the loos a shocker – unclean and even unusable. Beach club service copped a serve from one, and shade was scarce for another. Opening hours and pesky ants/mozzies were mentioned. Pool was out of action.

Liked Friendly staff and environment has nice views and close to Walabi theme park

Disliked 3 out of 4 showers locked by campers as they must of had their own key and didn’t want anyone else using them. The toilets and showers are so dirty because not only is the toilets used by campers they are also used by day visitors. The pitch we had was infested with ants and at night hundreds of mosquitoes. The toilet blocks and sinks were covered with them and stayed like that till mid day. The pitches are not clearly sign posted so difficult to find. I defo wouldn’t go here again.

Disliked Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

hiermit möchten wir uns über den Zustand der Sanitäranlagen auf Ihrem Campingplatz beschweren.

Bereits kurz nach unserer Ankunft mussten wir feststellen, dass die Sanitäranlagen in einem äußerst unhygienischen Zustand waren. Die Toiletten und Duschen waren wiederholt verschmutzt und wurden offensichtlich nicht ausreichend oder gar nicht gereinigt. Das Reinigungspersonal stand oft seitlich am Gebäude und zeigte am Handy dem anderen Kollegen Bilder.Dadurch wurde unser Aufenthalt erheblich beeinträchtigt.Desweiter ist mir heute in der ersten Damendusche ein Loch in der Wand (Höhe Intimbereich)aufgefallen.

Wir haben den Missstand sowohl an der Rezeption(Dame sprach nur Englisch), als auch direkt bei der Reinigungsfirma gemeldet. Leider hat sich trotz unserer Hinweise keine Verbesserung ergeben. Die hygienischen Zustände blieben während unseres Aufenthalts unverändert unzureichend.

Da die Situation für uns nicht mehr akzeptabel war, sehen wir uns gezwungen, unseren Urlaub vorzeitig abzubrechen und früher abzureisen als ursprünglich geplant.

Der in der Beschreibung angebotene CAI Anschluss (TV) war auch nicht vorhanden.

Aufgrund der erheblichen Beeinträchtigung unseres Aufenthalts bitten wir Sie, uns die Kosten für die nicht in Anspruch genommenen Übernachtungen sowie eine angemessene Erstattung für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten zu erstatten.

Wir bitten Sie um eine zeitnahe Stellungnahme und eine faire Lösung in dieser Angelegenheit. Damit Sie sich selber ein Bild machen können ,befinden sich Bilder die wir am ersten und am letzten Abend gemacht haben.

Disliked Leider sind die Sanitäranlagen nicht ganz sauber, und auch nicht alle waren benutzbar, außerdem verläuft vor der Sanitäranlagen ein Stromkabel oberirdisch was aus meiner Sicht ein hohes Risiko ist gerade für Kinder.

Liked We was very happy with our location,the stuff on reception was very friendly,everything was so clean from toilets to all public areas and the beach!The store in the camping is very high on stock.Unfortunately we skip the pool about technical issues,but next time will be our first stop🙂In general our family has a great time and we will come back soon!

Disliked Very poor service at beach club. Wrong pizza delivered. Asked for olive oil, none arrived. Pepper milk empty. When we told the waitress she just shrugged her shoulders and said I'll tell the manager.

For fresh-air frolics, get lost in the maze or kick off your shoes to take a walk on the barefoot path at Kijktuinen Nunspeet gardens, or go in search of wild horses, deer, otters and storks at Natuurpark Lelystad. Both are around a 20-minute drive from the site. Harderwijk’s Dolfinarium (20 minutes’ drive) and Apeldoorn’s Apenheul monkey park (45 minutes) are other top places for animal spotting. A huge reconstructed wooden 17th-century ship and traditional crafts are on show at Bataviawerf in Lelystad, and you can learn more about the region’s past by following the scavenger hunt at the town’s Nieuw Land museum. Thrillseekers don’t have to stray far from the park for their adrenaline fix: you can walk to Walibi Holland in half an hour or so for the country’s fastest rollercoasters and a collection of rides and activities for the nippers.
