- Spacious family-friendly site in the centre of Lido di Jesolo
- Close to restaurants and a five-minute walk from a sandy beach
- An hour's journey to Venice by public transport
Don your sunnies, don your swimmers – a stay at family-friendly Area Camper Don Bosco is likely to be one that involves a fair bit of seaside action.
And the frankly fab reason for that? This Lido di Jesolo site is a mere five-minute saunter from a whopping 12 kilometres of splendid sandy beach (with both free areas and serviced sections for those who like their sands rather more manicured).
Or you may prefer to don your sightseeing shoes (keep the sunnies though, probably) and head off for a day of swanning around the canals of Venice – it’s only an hour away by public transport, so day trips are very doable. Closer to home, a nifty free bike scheme is a handy way to get around the resort.
A central location in Lido di Jesolo means easy access to all sorts of amenities – restaurants, bars and shops are a few minutes’ walk away. With this in mind, there’s no restaurant on site, although you can fend off immediate hunger pangs and thirsts with snacks and drinks from the vending machines.
Keep the kids happy on site with daytime hours at the playground and evenings filled with various bits of entertainment (shimmying away at disco nights is particularly popular with the small sorts).

Local attractions
Bring bikes or borrow locally (they're free, hurrah) – there are around 150 kilometres of cycle paths in the local area for pedalling along. Some will take you to more far-flung stretches of beach for sailing, windsurfing or just plain old loafing; others to Cortellazzo, a fishing village four kilometres along the coast.
Two-wheeled travelling along the seafront is also a good way to get to Lido di Jesolo’s various attractions: Vidotto military museum, the Sea Life aquarium, Aqualandia waterpark, New Jesolandia amusement park and Tropicarium animal park are all within a 20-minute bike jaunt.
For an utterly gorgeous day out, it’s easy to get to Venice by bus or boat in around an hour or so – tick off the big sights (St Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal, Doge’s Palace) or just potter along the smaller canals to truffle out pretty churches and traditional restaurants. If you’ve already been to Venice, try Treviso instead: it’s also about an hour away, and equally well endowed with canalside loveliness.
