A peaceful site in the middle of Monte Baldo Natural Park, Camping Polsa sits at the foot of the Italian Alps, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. This is an excellent place if you are into outdoor pursuits – from hiking and mountain biking (you can hire a set of wheels on site) to winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snowboarding. However, if your pleasure runs to more sedentary activities (perhaps more along the lines of taking in mountain views with a glass of locally produced wine in hand, or listening to birdsong as you stroll in the surrounding woods), Polsa also delivers. The indoor swimming pool (with sauna and Jacuzzi, plus huge windows looking out to wooded peaks) is a great place to start your journey to relaxation. Other facilities include sporting fields (football, basket and volleyball) and a games room with ping pong tables – be warned: with so much for the kids to do around the site, you might see them only at mealtimes. Speaking of which, there are a couple of pizzerias in Brentonico (20 minutes’ drive); however, there’s no need to negotiate the hair-raising zig-zagging road to the town every time you feel hungry, since a restaurant on site serves traditional regional fare (it also has children’s and vegan menus). In addition, there’s a shop selling snacks and assorted items. Amenities include a modern toilet block (with showers and facilities for disabled guests), a washing-up area and a launderette.

  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/07 and 31/08 (subject to weather conditions).
  • The indoor swimming pool is open between 15/06 and 14/09.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the campground while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time so that the team can provide information about your unit/site.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Great mountain spot with top views for hikers & bikers. Staff get a shout-out, food's decent (pizzas a hit!), and facilities are clean. Pool's a winner. Mind the tricky, winding road in, though. Some found it noisy; a few facilities a bit old-fashioned.

Després l, aparcel.lament no es l, adequat, no hi ha espai i les persones que estan al càmping, és gent de temporada i no és còmode arribar de ruta. Vem entrar i van haver de treure les pertinences d, una parcel.la que feia anys que no es llogava. Entre riures i mirades de desaprovació vem muntar la tenda, ens vam sentir pràcticament assetjats. Vem marxar a les 08.00h i vem tornar a les 22.00h. no vem fer més que dormir i dutxar.nos. el gos de la parcel.la contigua lligat a la nostra pressa d, aigua i picant.se i cagant a la parcel·la ... De les experiències de càmping més poc recomanables. A part molt car pe,l que ofereixen. Una estrella i justa.

Liked Nice site, level with plenty of room. Swimming pool was very welcoming after a hot day.
Host was very pleasant.
Facilities were okay, showers, toilets, kitchen with fridge freezer available. Waste services in place.
Play areas for children.
Clean and tidy

Disliked Extremely noisy road directly behind hedge which was non stop all night. This made it very difficult to get any sleep.
Close to airport but road noise was far worse.

Liked In der Nebensaison sehr ruhiger Platz an dem man sich gut entschleunigen kann.
Die Anreise ist sehr anspruchsvoll und besonders für Motorräder zu empfehlen.
Die Barriere freien WC sind einfach aber gut.

Disliked Auf den Barrierefreiem WC gibt es keine Hygiene WC Abdeckungen wie auf den Herren Toiletten. Es fehlen auch die Papierhandtücher.
Es dürfte auch in der Vorsaison die Sanitär Anlagen täglich gereinigt werden.

Local attractions

Dominating the Adige Valley (and its terraced vineyards), the Castello di Avio fortress (40 minutes’ drive) dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was a cultural and artistic hub. Inside, the walls are decorated with well-preserved frescoes portraying religious scenes and knights fighting battles, plus a couple kissing (in the so-called Love Room). These mountains saw lots of military action during World War I. The monumental Ossario di Castel Dante, on the outskirts of Rovereto (40 minutes), houses the remains of 20,000 soldiers of several nationalities. Nearby, the Campana dei Caduti memorial bell (made with the bronze of war cannons) tolls 100 times each night. Torbole (45 minutes) is a small town in the northern reaches of Lake Garda. Spread a towel on its pebbly beach and watch the windsurfers as they glide across the water with the mountains in the background. Or hire a bike and cycle along the paved Ciclabile del Basso Sarca path all the way to the village of Sarche.
