Pitches

  • Peaceful stay on an organic farm's grape vineyard in the hills
  • A 10-minute drive from beaches; 35 minutes from a gorge and waterfall
  • Organic products like wine and honey sold on site; bike tours nearby
Heading to the Adriatic coast and Marche for mountains, vineyards, gorges and medieval villages? You’ll be in the right place at Azienda Agricola Bartolacci, a peaceful, family-friendly site in a grape vineyard that's part of an organic farm. Better yet, you’ll be able to get your hands on organic products such as wine, oil, honey, jams, fruit juices and tomato puree from the site's farm shop. That’s just the fuel you’ll need for this strategic hill location. With the sea nine kilometres away, swimming is just one local activity, and the options are vast: there are beaches within 10 minutes’ drive and more sand in Senigallia (20 minutes’ drive), Fano (20 minutes) and Pesaro (35 minutes). After that, perhaps off-roading in Cross Park Cavallara (20 minutes) or a bike tour of one of the local villages? Corinaldo (20 minutes) and its many historical sites are circled by 14th-century walls, and Mondolfo (10 minutes) and Mondavio (20 minutes) are just as pretty. Back at the site, there’s a gravel road to access the pitches. Other features around the site include views of the vineyard, Italian countryside and facilities that include wifi, shower access and a toilet block. You might also want to ask the site to arrange mountain biking or E-biking if you're the adventurous type.

What customers say

This pretty campsite is a peaceful vineyard escape with great views & big pitches. Immaculately kept facilities, friendly owners & a top restaurant with local vino. Mostly quiet, though one guest found pesticide spray & pricey beer. A serene getaway with top tucker.

Liked The site is in a peaceful location with lovely views, but it’s worth noting this isn’t a traditional campsite. It’s a narrow strip of land alongside the owners’ vineyard and farmhouse, with electric hook-up points rather than a dedicated camping layout.

While the setting is pleasant, views like this are common throughout the area. The facilities were below expectations: the washing-up area was exposed and poorly assembled, and the bathrooms—housed in metal containers—were damp, creaky, and showed signs of mould. Basic supplies such as toilet paper and hand-drying materials weren’t regularly restocked.

The owners clearly value the land, but the experience felt more like an add-on to a working property than a site created with guest comfort in mind. With some investment and attention to detail, there’s definite potential here.

Disliked We appreciate rustic charm and value tranquillity—and it’s absolutely possible to offer both alongside a basic level of comfort. Unfortunately, that balance was missing here.

The washing-up area was poorly thought out: no proper shelter, and a makeshift sink that felt unfinished. The bathroom facilities were housed in metal containers, which were creaky, damp, and had very visible black mould. Essentials such as toilet paper and hand-drying materials were not replenished consistently during our stay.

While the owners clearly have a deep connection to the land and a beautiful vineyard, the camping setup—essentially a row of electric hook-up points along the side—felt more like a commercial venture than a guest-focused experience.

There is great potential here, but it would benefit from more attention to the comfort and wellbeing of visitors.

Liked A picturesque and peaceful site, it really was a perfect stay! The facilities were clean and the pitches were a generous size overlooking the vineyard. The owners were so welcoming, we enjoyed a lovely meal in the onsite restaurant and a bottle of wine off their vineyard! We loved everything about our stay and we would highly recommend

Liked Beautiful grounds, view. Pitches are spacious and convenient access to toilets and showers. A very open feel to the place, and the owners were there to answer any requests and provide us with their own wines, beer and other products. Great location to get to the beach only 15 minutes away.

Local attractions

While the sea is one of the big draws in Marche, that’s not all that’s on offer around here. Inland is a gorge with hiking trails, kayaking activities and great views all-around - Marmitte dei Giganti (35 minutes' drive) is the name. Marmitte dei Giganti isn't out there on its own. A little further on in the car is Furlo Pass (40 minutes), another gorge on a Roman road with more trails to get stuck into. Then, there’s Cascata di Valrea (35 minutes), a stunning waterfall with a natural swimming hole that you might want to cool down in. Further afield, tours around the Frasassi Caves (an hour) or a hike over coastal mountains such as Monte Conero (55 minutes) and Monte San Bartolo (40 minutes) are other great options for active days out. For a more historical sort of adventure, visit the historical centre of Fano (20 minutes) in between your hikes and beach days to see palaces and courtyards, or Pesaro (35 minutes) for museums and more historical places.
