Liked Lovely well organized shaded pitches of a hood size and the facilities were spotless. The ladies who serviced the facilities were really friendly and helpful as well.Excellent reception staff and a decent bar. Lovely location by lakeside to sip an apperitivo.
Classic Italian holiday campsite with quite a few summer long residents.

Disliked This was the most expensive campsite I have stayed on. There are no reductions for solo occupants. Never was able to access the "free" WiFi.

Liked Nothing. It was horrible. They took our money and confirmed the booking only to arrive and find they had been closed for a month.

Disliked This was the worst experience in Italy. They took our booking, sent a confirmation and took our money. When we arrived the gates were closed and found out they had been closed for over a month. It was run down, no water or power. We had to camp on the street and still have no refund. It cost is 50EUR to camp outside.

Local attractions

It’s pretty scenic from all corners, Lake Bolsena, so it’s a splendid idea to set out on a complete circuit of the lakeside – ideally not all in one go, lest that leaves you shooting past some of the sights. Start at the south side with a trip to your local village, Montefiascone (10 minutes’ drive), to see Rocca dei Papi (where the popes – sensibly – spent their summers in days of yore) and take in the view from the cathedral. Move along, then, to Capodimonte (15 minutes) for a bit of time on the beach or to board boat trips to the lake’s little islands. Getting to the other side of the lake and the main settlement on the shoreline, Bolsena should only take around 25 minutes by car. There’s a castle, archaeology site and museum up here for folk who like to learn about the past, or boat hire, horse riding and hikes for those who’d rather flex their muscles. Make the most of the town’s tasty treats too – its streets are stuffed with places to feast on fish or snaffle ice creams, coffees and pastries by the lake’s edge.
