How might you fancy spending an evening with a glass of chilled rosé in hand, surrounded by palm trees and chirruping cicadas? Or perhaps you’re more of an entertainment-seeker, up for nights of cabaret, poker tournaments and foam parties?
Have it either way at Sandaya Camping Riviera d’Azur, where days and nights can be filled with as much or as little activity as you require for your hols. If you like to keep busy, you’ll find heaps to do around the place, including games of tennis, miniature golf, table tennis, pétanque and whatever’s in progress at the multisports pitch.
Fitness fans and those who’ve overindulged on the tasty Provençal cuisine (mighty easy to do) can join in with gym and zumba classes, and there’s a whole array of activities for les enfants at the kids’ club, plus an excellent playground and a pedal go-kart course.
And all that’s before you’ve even got to the waterpark, a fab 530 m² area made up of five (yes, five) heated pools, plus waterslides and water playground for the nippers and a sizeable palm-filled sun terrace for the supervisors, sunbathers and siesta-seekers. If you fancy taking your swims in the sea instead, it’s a five-minute jaunt to the beach at Saint-Aygulf using the handy shuttle service.

Take the hassle out of organising activities by having a chat with site staff to see if they’ve got any trips running: kayaking, paddleboarding, paintballing and excursions to treetop adventure parks are among the outings they regularly run or can help you book locally. For aquatic antics, head into Saint-Aygulf, where watersports centres offer jetskiing, waterskiing, flyboarding and scuba diving.
Tiddlers, teens and grownups will likely all find much to amuse among the rides and attractions at Luna Park, 10 minutes’ drive away. Neighbouring Aqualand is the place to be if the on-site waterpark has given you a taste for waterslide action.
A little further afield, other day trip options might include exploring some of the French Riviera’s larger resorts – a 45-minute drive and you can be sashaying around swanky Saint-Tropez or attempting to spot film stars in Cannes.
