This is a peaceful, lush and very leafy site in the middle of a seven-hectare farm, 45 minutes or under by car to several great attractions including O'Gliss waterpark, Puy du Fou and the vibrant Vendée department capital of La Roche sur Yon. For jaunts out into the local area, walking trails, bridlepaths and and mountain biking trails begin right at the park, continuing out into the Yon valley and beyond.
This site's speciality is farm animal friendliness and it has a particular penchant for horses, inviting guests to bring their equine pals along on holiday with them. There are lots of furry farm friends around the site to pet too, from a couple of goats and their kids to mules, one shy alpaca and several geese and chickens. Your hosts also run some excellent workshops on site so that you can learn how to create cosmetics and creams from goats' milk.
Guests have access to a modern amenities block, as well as a kitchenette with fridge, gas hob, sink andkitchen equipment you might need during your stay, and has plenty of terrace seating overlooking the wide open French countryside.

Local attractions
Although the farm lies in remoteness, it's also a handy base for several smashing attractions: 15 minutes' drive from O'Gliss waterpark and its slides, lazy river, eateries and endless sun terraces (book your entrance ticket in advance); 25 minutes from Le Château des Aventuriers castle and young kids' adventure park, and about an hour from France's famed historical theme park, Puy du Fou.
The seaside town of Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard is about 25 kilometres from Le Domaine du Vigneau, on the south Vendée coast. The town also faces the island of Ré and its salt marshes and pine forests, vineyards and dunes, fine sandy beaches and Saint-Martin-de-Ré with forts and port.
La Roche-sur-Yon, the Vendée department's vibrant capital, is also around half an hour's drive away. A little further afield, about 40 kilometres from Le Domaine du Vigneau, are the Zoo des Sables d'Olonne and the themed tanks of the Seventh Continent Aquarium.
