It's free, quick and easy!
- Glamping in a scenic valley 15 minutes from Millau
- Hiking, mountain biking and canoe trips all arranged from the site
- Heated pool, snack bar, common room, shop and rotisserie
What a place. Glampers, active types and scenery seekers just must carve out some time for a stay at Causses et Vallées Vacances, deep in the Grands Causses Natural Regional Park around the famed Tarn gorges.
You can get out into these stunning surroundings with ease from here, as the team arranges hiking and mountain biking trips direct from the site, as well as canoe descents with its partner companies in the Gorges du Tarn or in Millau, an easy 15 minutes' drive away. Popular destinations like the Millau Viaduct (yes, the biggest in the world), Roquefort and the Dourbie gorges are close by; for more activity, paragliding, rafting, via ferrata and climbing are all available locally.
Causses et Vallées Vacances is on the edge of the peaceful village of Saint-Geniez de Bertand, 10 minutes' drive from Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon. It's a lush setting to while away the days at, either in or around the summer heated pool or idling around indoors at the common room. Eats are easily sorted too: there's a snack bar and a grocery shop as well as fresh bread and pastries delivered daily. There's a rotisserie for roast chicken, chips and other hot food: let the staff know the day before and they'll dish up according to your requirements.
And once you're fed, watered, rested and ready for more leaping about the Grands Causses, an information point on the activities and sights of the natural park is to hand on site.

Local attractions
As well as the activities on offer and trips to the Millau Viaduct, the region is well placed for sightseeing around the Tarn gorges, Roquefort cheese cellars and dairy sheep farms, and traditional villages such as Cantobre and Veyreau, within 45 to 55 minutes.
From Millau, the spectacular limestone outcrop of Montpellier-le-Vieux makes up the biggest rock maze in Europe, overlooking the Causses and the Dourbie gorges. It has five marked trails ranging from an hour to three hours in length, as well as via ferrata routes for the truly heady and a tourist train for those who'd rather zip around the rocks in a more stylish and less sweaty manner.
Montpellier is an hour and 20 minutes away.
