Liked: The location was absolutely beautiful with the lake and the wildlife, very peaceful.

Disliked: Lacking on certain facilities such as shop, restaurant etc but we understand these are under construction.

Recommend to friends Visit again

The construction is taking longer than we expected but we are also looking forward to having a function room where guests can hangout while playing billiards and stuff. Liked: The tranquillity of the site next to the lake Friendly people

Disliked: Got stuck in a wet spot and had to be towed out by a guy with a tow rope! (Avoid the banks of the lake if its still wet!)

Local attractions

The beach at Quiberville-sur-Mer is your nearest (10 minutes by car) for dipping, lounging and digging big holes. The larger town of Veules-les-Roses (15 minutes) has beetling cliffs and a pebble shore that once drew painters by the cartload. Veules-les-Roses is also a good place to try your hand at windsurfing and sea-kayaking. Fécamp (50 minutes) is the starting point for the Route du Lin (Linen Route) cycle path, taking in history and some of Normandy's finest scenery over an 80-kilometre route, and is also home to Woody Park and its tree climbing and bungee jumping. Hautot-sur-Mer (10 minutes) is one of many local centres for equestrian activities, including guided horseback trails. For a busy port, Dieppe (20 minutes) is remarkably easy on the eye; Saturday markets will thrill/horrify some visitors with buckets of live snails and recognisable bits of boar. On the cliffs above in the Château Musée you can see how Renoir, Pissarro and Sickert painted the town red (and other colours).

Vehicles

The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

General

The grocery shop is open between 01/04 and 13/10.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
